Ibishu Hopper

ever since i bought this game i thought that it was mising a jeep so now if this is realeased i will be happy

 

Sorry about that...I did not intend for the post I made to be one of those utterly redundant comments (to what you where protruding).I was only doing it as something to lighten the mood, but as you put it, unnecessary
to the thread...(which also can be said for this reply, of unnecessary apology, but I just feel bad about it for some reason and this only way to express it, but I intend stop doing these kind of posts.)

 

Speaking of what Nadeox1 said, I just don't understand why people has such a problem with the name. I've liked the name since the beginning, and I have no problem with the Hopper being an Ibishu at all, in fact, I'm all for it. What I love most about the Hopper is that it's an SUV similar to the Wrangler, and I've been dying to have an SUV like the Jeep Wrangler in BeamNG, so this a wish of mine that's finally been granted.

My point is, can everyone just bury that hatchet? We should be excited and thankful that the team is giving us an SUV like this, rather than having petty flame wars about what brand the vehicle is or what it's called. Let's just let the Ibishu Hopper be the Ibishu Hopper.

 

I see some Fallout3 tint there... Thinking about it, the Hopper would be the perfect vehicle to roam a post-atomic Washington: it's small and manouverable, yet tall, sturdy and offroad capable

On another note, seeing all the different vehicles that get mentioned as a design inspiration, I'd say the dev has made a good job on the styling. I'ts evocative, but you can see a lot of influences in it. Furthermore, there's only so much you can do on the common ground of all these vehicles, that is boxy design. An utility vehicle needs to be boxy, as a semi needs to be L-shaped if seen from the side. For how much you can play with the details, there are major constraints. Besides, the Beam Team arrives 40+ years late to the boxy party: the real automotive industry has had a lot of full time job designers thinking about this style that long, so they are bound to have explored most of the possible outcomes.

Anyway the more I look at the Hopper the better I like it!

This is an official development thread. It will get released with an update to the game. It's not a mod(if you thought it was one.)
Anyway the devs don't usually post any release dates to their updates.
But you never know.

Well to be fair it is Gabe's vehicle, He doesn't have to follow Jeeps business plan. If he wanted to add a 4 door variant, its up to him.

Hhmmmm... I'm usually not the guy to start a hypetrain... and I won't start one,...

Yet something tells me we may possibly expect an update this month, perhaps even a 'Frohe Weihnachten' (yes, that's German for Merry Christmas) or New Year's Eve update. Would certainly make sense to release an update before the 25th, with the following week for small hot-fixes.

Will this car be in this update? I can't tell, although I'm rather inclined to believe that this will not happen. Too soon! ... she said! ^^

I'm not ruling the possibility of another car seeing the daylight of the public build, however.

So, don't get excited, simply relax and prepare for holidayZ instead!

It would be really cool if this car had a Clinometer on the dashboard.

Is it in older cars complete mechanically, so as soon as you tilt it, it will show it like the display on the right with car in profile?
