My new monitor arrived, the display is pretty good, runs at 75hz with worse colours than my main monitor (since its tn and not ips). So as expected really, but... Where did AOC even get those speakers? They are genuinely worse than my galaxy S2. And my 5 year old galaxy S2 sounds bad in comparison to the OnePlus 3 that I filmed this on, partially due to newer tech, partially because the S2 speakers have had a lot of use. But to be fair I am glad they prioritised picture quality over sound quality. EDIT: Just found the speaker, its about 2cm x 1cm in size and upwards facing, at least there are 2 for stereo sound
Damn those are awful. My main monitor has a similar problem and its a TV... All of the low end and mid range is so muffled its like it was buried in the ground a couple of inches. Even youtube videos with only voice are really hard to hear.
Wanted to clean things up a little more but saw the 4pm sunset and decided to open the curtains for a shot of the new setup. Turned out ok considering the lighting (how to take good pictures 101: point your camera directly into the friggin sun) Think some colour calibration is going to be needed to attempt to bring the old Samsung in line with the much more colour accurate Asus panel. The AOC also needs a little more work putting into it since greys look a little red. Edit: Cleaned up the desktop
Can anyone help me with this? I am not sure whether to buy Watch Dogs 2 on PC or Xbox One, as I think 30fps is okay if it looks decent, I'd rather have that than terrible graphics and 60fps. | PC Specs down here | v
Well, the 750ti is more powerful than what the xbox one offers. So if your priority is really good graphics, get it on PC, turn the graphics up and play it at 30fps. If your priority is high frame rate, use lower settings and get a higher frame rate. Equally if resolution doesn't bother you, get it on PC and lower the screen resolution and get better fps and better graphics. Long story short, use the settings menu to get what you want whatever that is. You meet the games minimum requirements.
Its worth getting it on PC, it is a Gameworks title so it won't be amazingly easy to run but all reports so far say its a good port. A 750ti will run it just fine and you always have more options getting it on PC.
Why would you need such a thing? Your phone has a calculator and so does your computer, and Desmos is there if you need graphing.
I have a calculator with reverse polish notation input. Fun stuff. Instead of an operation being inserted between it's operands, you place it after. Eg. 5 - 2. The operation is - and inbetween it's operands which are 5 and 2. This is infix notation and what we're familiar with. In reverse polish notation (sometimes called postfix) the operation follows the operands and so you'd use: 5 2 - You don't need brackets either and order of operations is scrapped. We should be familiar with how 2+2*2 is 6 due to 2*2 being done first then plussing 2. Then (2+2)*2 is 8 as you do 2+2 first due to it being in brackets. Reverse polish notation. (2+2)*2 2 2 + 2 * You read backwards from the *. You have a *and it's operands are 2 and a +, so what happens? You evaluate the +. It's operands are 2 and 2, 2+2=4. Leaves you with 2*4 which is 8. 2 2 * 2 +, 6. Easy.
Well, I used them to show students how to work with it, it is easy to show on a big screen instead of showing every single one of them how the ti works. I have a ti 84 plus colour silver edition though xd #calculatorshowoff
The calculator things for computers are mostly intended for demonstration. They're pretty much useless to a student because you can't have a computer out during a test.
Speaking of calculators... Anyone have a Casio Prism? I happen to have one and I love it. Everyone else in my calculus class has a TI-83 (a few ti-84's and a couple of those fancier ti-84 ce's or whatever with the backlit display thing) and the Casio seems to be far superior to the TI's in every single way I've seen so far. It's cheaper than a TI-83 too.
Nope, but just because why not, I will mention I have a Casio fx-260 Solar. All I can say is that it still works. https://www.amazon.com/Casio-fx-260-SOLAR-Scientific-Calculator/dp/B000Q5XTBQ
