    1. While in the car press the button you have assigned to "driving mode" to be able to accelerate, turn the wheel etc.
    2. find the ignition in the vehicle
    3. press once to turn on the electricity
    4. hold the ignition until the car engine finally starts(may take a few seconds).
    5. make sure to find the handbrake and release it.
    6. go into first gear/drive by using the controls.

TBH, this game doesn't sound interesting to me, mostly because I feel like there's a bunch of empty spaces with it. The idea behind it does sound extremely interesting though, the idea of building a car, and making sure it actually runs. However, one thing I love about BeamNG.drive is the multitude of cars it gives you, and the fact that all of the cars in the game are playable. Even the GTA series gives you a ton of different cars to play with and modify.

From what all I've seen and heard about My Summer Car, you're only limited to one car. If you're someone like me, you'd want some variety, and to be able to choose what car you want upon starting the game.

Apparently, the only car you're given is a small two door called the Satsuma AMP. I do think the car is cute and looks fun to drive, but after a while, you'd get tired of it, and want something else.

I heard that other playable vehicles include a sedan called the Ferndale (which I think looks cool), a Toyota Hiace esque van called the Hayosiko, a tanker truck called the Gifu, and a tractor called the Kekmet. Well, at least by what IGCD says. However, I believe that if you wanted them, you'd have to steal them, except for the tractor and perhaps the van. To pour salt on the open wound, there are a bunch of other cars that look very interesting that you can't even play with, one of them including a car based on a SAAB called the Polsa, and some more cars based on a 1988 Opel Vectra, a 1967 Pontiac Firebird, a 1961 Plymouth Fury, a 1966 Ford Fairlane, and a 1975 Fiat. See the problem? So many interesting cars, yet there's nothing to do with them. They might as well not even be there.

My advice to the creators of My Summer Car: Make all cars playable, and give the player the ability to choose which car they want upon startup, so that they don't have to keep using the same car they got tired of the last time they played the game. Plus, it opens a lot of doors for those other cars as well, including what the player must do to put them together and make them drivable, as all cars will differ in how they are designed, meaning that the player can't really use the same methods they used to build the Satsuma, they'd have to become accustomed to the car of their choice and learn about their design and inner workings. Heck, I even think it'd be okay to make the other cars unlockables. Unlockables can keep a gamer playing the game.

*sitting here expecting a ton of hatred*

Dont read this as hate but your whole essay that you wrote is kind of wrong.
If you had atleast watched a letsplay or the trailer for the game you would know what the aim or atleast the story of the game. Which is to build up your satsuma and eventually I believe you can race it in like a sprint/rally that is shown from the posters that are in your house. Somebody will surely tell you every detail but right now i simply do not have time. Just watch one of WhyBeAre's videos.

I didn't read this as hate. What I would've expected as a hate message is if someone cussed me out and said a bunch of rude things. You didn't speak to me in a rude tone, so no offense taken. :)

I went ahead and watched WhyBeAre's videos. Like I said, the ideas behind it and the mechanics is very interesting. You actually have to construct the car from just the frame into a fully functional one. I've never seen anything else do that.

Watched the trailers for the game and they absolutely made no sense to me. I didn't watch the 50+ minute video, as I usually don't like to watch Youtube videos that long. I'm not a livestream watcher either. To me, watching livestreams is too much like watching movies. (threw that out there to explain why I don't like to watch long Youtube videos that are 50+ minutes)

But, like I said, it would be more interesting if more variety with the cars in game were a thing, and you were given a choice of what car you start up with. Like I said, it would mean that if you chose a car different from the Satsuma, you'd have to become familiar with the design of the car you chose and build it the way it requires. If your choice was a Ferndale, it would be very different than the Satsuma as the Ferndale is a bigger sedan with a bigger engine. I just see so many possibilities with being able to chose your car rather than just be stuck with the Satsuma every single time you play the game.

Then again, I'm probably so used to BeamNG.drive that my expectations are probably too demanding. IDRK o_O

I don't know why he said you're wrong, because your original essay you wrote is dead on. Only a handful of drivable cars, only the Satsuma can be worked on, only a few aftermarket parts, and then you can do some drag passes or a rally (time trial I believe). That's it really, it's fun but not too much to it.

Sounds like what I was thinking. I don't think the Satsuma is a horrible car, far from it. I think it's a cool little car. But, after a while, people tend to get tired of the same thing over and over again, which is why some people in real life may sell a car to get a different one. I think my idea would be My Summer Car's missing link, and it would benefit the game greatly. Players would get more enjoyment from choosing the cars they want, which is what BeamNG.drive, GTA, the recent Mad Max game, and so many other car related games offer. Heck, one car game I know of with a huge list of cars to pick from is the Forza Motorsport games.

And, with so many other cars in game, like that Firebird and the Fury, I just feel like those cars would be da bomb to put together and drive around and stuff.

    Like I said here:

The developer said he has plans for the wrecks that you can find in various barns. Have to remeber, it's early access. More content should be coming soon.

Now that I have basically finish the game, there isn't a lot to do, I means I have plug-in my g25 it's fun, but nothing amazing. I hope a new update with other cars to build, like a muscle car or something in this style. If you look in the old barns, the most have old rusted muscle car. And there is also one in the garage. It would be cool if you can find one in a barn and bring it back to your home for work on it. Like a restauration project in big.

Making skins is fun but it's quickly annoying...

The "untz untz untz untz" ricer guy?
Or the guy in the tiny car who bombs down one-way dirt roads?

Either one works, since they both drive head on into you.

Can anyone figure this out? engine locks up out of nowhere.. oil and coolant was filled up prior to making this video.

Runs alittle rich, if I lean it out same result, can it be that exhaust leak?

I actually don't know where its coming from lol header and exhaust/bolts are all tight.

if this is still going on i can check it out for u... ill just need your save game... but i seen the oil pressure when u revved that motor..you were not exactly full on that... full oil and that needle max's out at max revs... and it wasn't so low oil is to blame. sounded like u broke a main bearing/piston.. because u did not overheat and water pressure was perfect.. maybe a loose bolt too? i have broke this engine in all possible ways. that's just a little low on oil... especially if the A/F ratio was getting higher while warmed up.. tune that motor when its warmed up u want 14.7 reading on gauge.. oh and make sure choke isn't pulled out
