Is it petrol or gasoline ? If it is petrol i would higlythy suggeste you to look if the engine doesn't oil, and because it seems like it's not the stock wheels look at the suspension, the suspensions are quit fragile on this car. Today I've clean up a part of the chromes on the 403, I guess because I can see myself in it it's in, pretty good shape, and I also cut a part of my finger on the radiator grille. I'm a genious !
You realise petrol is the English term for gasoline. Doesn't matter whether engine is petrol or diesel. You need to check the oil. Every single car purchase check oil, coolant, brake fluid and power steering fluid for levels, contamination, condition and leakage. And it's a French car from 90s. Fragility is a standard feature
Sorry I means diesel. But what ever, those 90s French cars are quite strong, for having a 106 which have around 320 000 km. Still I'm saying that because the diesel version of the 106, have a weak cylinder head, which if don't take car of your car, can lead to massive lost of oils. And the only solutions is to repear the cylinder, which cost a lot, or put 2 head gasket, which work but isn't really a reparation, you know. The 205 share a lot of it pieces with the 106.
yes I am a mechanic myself so I will check oil averything but from the images ive seen its mint condition its just had new brakes and exhaust , the wheels are sort of stock there from a slightly newer one these are 15 inch but it comes with 3 13inch too and powersteering fluid... what power steering lol
Replaced the rotors and tie rod ends on my brother in law's 05 F150. Ford, in their infinite wisdom, decided that rotors that are held on by the wheel like every other rotor I've ever seen just wasn't good enough for them, so instead, (On the front anyway) they have the rotor, hub & studs, and wheel bearing as one, sealed item, held on by a large, metric, non-reusable spindle nut that is torqued to 400 ft-lbs. First issue, this spindle nut is metric, actually the whole truck is metric, and while I have everything from 1/8" ignition wrenches, all the way up to 2"+ wrenches and sockets, held in three large roll-around toolboxes and the entire west wall of my garage, my entire collection of metric tools consists of a set of wrenches from 8M to 15M, and a set of like sized sockets, and all fits inside a little plastic box. So the spindle nut is 30-something MM I assume, to me it looks like it's close to 1 7/16", and and a 1 7/16 fits, but not as good as I'd like to for 400 ft-lbs. It did the job, but I didn't like it. Just me complaining about Ford stupidity.
You put up with a lot of bullshit. my whole car comes apart with 8 sockets. 10mm 12mm 13mm 12 point for head studs, 14, 17, 19, and 32 for axel nut.
The Light string on the moon-visor of my truck had badly corroded bulb contacts, so rather than spend $15 on new bulbs and an hour to clan up the contacts, I bought an outdoor LED light string and adapted the visor to accept each LED module. Brighter than the incandescent bulbs and cost less than replacing them.
Almost ran out of oil in my car... no idea why it almost ran out of oil when our van has a oil leak and I have no idea how much oil is in that thing!
I bought another CVPI recently. It is a 2009 ex highway patrol car. 136k miles, and the engine bay looks nearly new. Also here is an exhaust video of my mercury
drive fine only drove it around the farm a little but it rides smooth and the steering is light considering if not assisted there is 0 rust andwhere on this car wich is why I bought it don't get it till Tuesday tho its 89 miles away
Finally cured the civic of its electrical gremlins. following the multi meter I found that the alternator was charging and the power was making it to the fuse box, but not to the battery. just a little corrosion on the fuse box input connection was all it took. next is the stock suspension! ditching the coilover setup for some stock cheapos to ride out the winter. going to call up koni in the spring and order a set of yellows. I love being race car stiff but not racecar low. swaybar.
