I used to have a Mac Book Pro with Retina display 13' (I now have a PC) and I bought BeamNG Drive on that thing November last year. I ran the game smoothly on lowest settings (40 FPS on Grid Map). A few months later my Mac just gave up on me and then I decided to get a PC according to past experiences. Recommend you buy a PC for gaming because you can get many more programs to design and make your own vehicles (Blender, etc). No I did not have a Nvidia card (I do now) so I'm guessing you can run BeamNG Drive at high settings at 30 FPS. Just don't forget, BeamNG Drive is more processor intensive than graphic intensive. PC's have that advantage (unless you buy a cheap PC under $500). But if you're into photography, video editing, music making, etc then just get a Mac. If you're going to get a Mac, install Windows 7 or 8 on it using Bootcamp to get the best results. If you don't want to pay for Windows and go through the process of installing it, use an application called "Wine" for Mac. All it does is run Windows applications on Mac. Though, its more complex to use.
Bruh check the date of the last post (Dec 2014) BeamNG has been updated quite alot since then so this thread might be a bit irrelevant now.
Just incase somebody with a Mac is reading this thread and is thinking to buy the game. BeamNG.Drive is not compatible with MacOS. Since 0.4.1.0 BeamNG.Drive uses DirectX11, which is not supported by Wine/Crossover/VM/etc. From http://wiki.beamng.com/BeamNG_FAQ#A...e_Mac.2FLinux.2FXbox.2FPlayStation_support.3F
