Old mods ,updated game?

hi everyone I recently downloaded the newest version of beamng I've had a way old version of it on my computer but currently it won't start up I was wondering if I can run the old cars/maps on the new version any help appreciated I would just test it but don't want to break my game because I have no means of downloading it again

 

Did you pirate it? Either way, you can make a backup, but that is useless, since if you clear the cache and remove the mods any issues can be fixed. No mods change any of the game's actual files.

 

no bought and paid for I just have limited internet at my house so can't download it if i break my current game

 

Just make back up copies of the game

It's in C:Steam>Steamapps>Common>Beamng.drive
