How do I make my own skins?

How exactly do I make skins for cars in BeamNG? I searched to no avail, I can't seem to find how on the wiki either. Everyone has threads showing off their skins, none of which actually telling us how. So, if anyone could reply without being an asshole that would be greatly appreciated.

I mainly wish to know because I plan on making my own Demolition Derby vehicle skins.
