This is the most well made mod I have ever used! The car is awesomely varied and and I love the custom sounds and I love the one that was "restored" the paint effects are friggen awesome!
i too have a decent setup.. i get 70-80fp with 1 car and then if i spawn another identical one i get 17-22fps... its as if its sharing 1 core out of 8... because when i look at the core usage only 1 core is maxing out on 2 separate cars..how is that?
About the FPS, this my setup : - I7 4790K + 980gtx and this what i get on Gridmap : - 4 Oldsmobile, mixed between regular and police cars, no Stig nor dummies in them : constant 60 fps - 5 oldsmobile : 40 fps - 6 oldsmobile : drops down to 20 fps. It's intensive, but i've got around 10 people in the Beta test group and no one complained about the lag or very poor fps, so i discover the issue for some people after the release. I'll try to make more friendly but i have to add something : - the mod is free and i'm not financially rewarded for making it, so i can't work on it forever. Also it was already a lot of work to make it behave and deform just correctly, so changing lots of jbeam stuff to delete nodes and beams means basically redoing it. And i can't do that. So i'd rather explain in the first post that the mod is intensive and may be hard to work on low or medium end PC. --- Post updated --- Thanks for the kind comment and nice video ! Added to the first post as well as Schumacher's one i forgot to add.
I would of put this is reviews but im not going to give you a bad rating. I have spend 2 days trying to figure out how to do the addon and still havent done it. Cant you just put them both into one folder? It seems that would work so much better instead of trying to get 2 different "mods" to work together.
Well I really can't help you other than to tell you to download "oldsfullsize_codename.zip" and "oldsfullsize_oldsmobile_addon.zip" and then make sure they are 26.5 mb and 188 mb respectively and placed in the right folder as said here. Thanks for not giving it a negative review though!
How To Install The Oldsmobiles Mod: Step 1: Click the Orange manual download button (You could try to do the Green Install button, but I think the Manual Install is better IMO) Step 2: Save it in your Documents/BeamNG.drive/mods folder, then click Save. Step 3: Click the Purple Text to download the addons. (Can be found in the first post.) Step 4: Save that to your Documents/BeamNG.drive/mods folder, then click Save. Step 5: Run BeamNG.drive, and you're done! ========================================================= Tutorial by: @AwesomeRacer456 Mod Creator: @SergentFido
This is an amazing mod, however we need a lowrider. It would be PERFECT for this! TIP: use toggle keys for hydraulics
Can you post screenshots of the folder locations you have this mod installed to? Something is not coming across here.
Is it ok fi i take the old beat up car atempt to add some grafiti to it and re publish it? you wil get full credits for the car i will link creators and links to download here if u want
This is a beautiful mod but with an AMD FX 6100, it is very laggy (Not everytime, I don't really understanded why game sometimes go around 60 fps and later goes around 20 fps. Same thing with 2 cars. I really didn't understanded it. If this problem can be fixed, this mods would be really beautiful. I hope this problems can be fixed sometime. If i didn't had an empty wallet, I'd like to donate some money and buy a Core i5
Hi ! Making original skins is allowed for this mod, have fun. Modifying one of my own skins has to be shown to me first so that i could tell if i allow it to be published or not, depending on the quality of it. i'll modify the first post to explain what is allowed to do with my cars and what is not. For exemple adding parts or modifying body styles is not allowed, i keep the hand on the modelling and tuning of my mod. I mean the mod is a team work so people already had added or are currently adding parts for the Oldsmobile, in the beta test group, but the work is done for future release of the mod, and not for mods of the mod.
