Noticed a lot of new members putting stuff like multiplayer up without using the search bar. Also suggesting stuff already done, or putting stuff in the wrong catagories? Is it just me or do you notice it, too?

Yes of course we notice it. The more new users the more mistakes will be made. It's a thing you just have to deal with. Sorry to be rude but what's the point of the thread?

I just noticed and wanted to ask if other people noticed it, too. Asking the point of the thread isn't rude btw

Its comical I had a guy yesterday asking for a computer for £100 to £750....no one builds a pc for that....most good computers start at £1,000 and they can go way over £3000....

I can confirm .. Many new peope (mostly for me I see it on the Vehicle suggestion thread) Just put the thing they want up in the title and say like "Pls do that!" or "Why isnt that a thing in the game ??!?!?"
I think there should be like a page that appears when you join the forums, that tells you all rules and stuff you should avoid doing.. Also on how to use a search bar.. Well

    Ah, ok.
Well when registering for an account it mentions that by registering to the site you agree to the TOS and the forum rules. I guess people just don't mind it at all and just accepts.

Mine was a dell xps 8700, around 800USD and then I got an NVIDIA gtx 960 for 200. Now I'm planning to get a ram upgrade to 32 gb for 100USD

Yeah I mean when I built my previous computer that was about £600 but due to a blown PSU and motherboard and memory upgrades that kicked it up to £1000 and then from there it was well alot more to build my current system and I am more than happy with it, its everything I need :)

Haha if I had to go for a computer with money no object I would ahve gone for a Sunway TaihuLight that would be the ultimate computer for me but what I have now is more than sufficient, I will consider upgrades in a few years depending on if I can get into another job and stuff...

What's unfortunate is that a supercomputer like the TaihuLight very likely can not have a visual screen (Or am I wrong?)

About new users, my profile says I registered in May 2016 (which I did), but my BeamNG playtime goes back all the way to a pirated version in late 2013. I think I also had a account named "thekoalaking13" that was old as well.

Perhaps a new Sticky Thread with a list of already suggested features? I only say that one because this seems to be the most often thing people suggest without searching... although they might not even read through the threads before making a new one anyways so if that's the case it will do nothing for those people.

A lot of the problem is noobs look under 'general discussion' for suggestion threads, so that's why they post them...
I do have a stupid idea that could work.... Maybe a training forum? Sorta like a tutorial that teaches noobs on how to use the forums, correct usage of the search bar, look back a few pages before posting 'I want the Mustang where is the Mustang?' on every single forum, not bumping threads, etc

When a user types in a thread title, automatically there could pop up a list of threads with similar titles. I've seen that on some other forums.

A lot of good forums automatically search while you're typing in the title section. This will help stop the constant posting of a similar topic. Maybe it should even not allow the user to create a new post unless they click a button confirming that their post is not like the suggested posts.

I'm sorry, if have fallen into this error of posting new topic about something, that is covered already. :)

However, I do search for the exact topic/discussion first, before doing so. But sometimes, the very thing you are looking for is put into slightly different words, so you have difficult times to find stuff (not about lazyness, nonono). So that's why at least I fall into the option of opening new topic.

PS: But then, the next thing what happens (if you find topic for your issue), is that people complain about waking up old topic, which is exactly about your issue.

And that, people, feels very confusing. :p
