I think pretty hard (if not impossible), as they don't have access to any RAGE Source, just the already compiled game. And since it's using the same RAGE engine (with some tweaks), I think the modding process is the same.
I think Gabester is hoping that modable files will allow for GTA 4 styled crash physics (GTA 5 crashes look very much like a downgrade) as for the grip... what the hell?!?! it's really insanely grippy now, i don't like that :C
Almost if not entirely impossible. Unless you work in Rockstar's engine development team and the vehicle artists model every part of the vehicles and put nodes and beams in them. Then, if it is actually done correctly, you would only be able to run 5 vehicles maximum, if that. So no.
Just watch around the 1:00 mark ... high speed followed by rolling and the outcome is a small dent in the front and a lot of scratches, not so much deforming, no smoke. I think people got used to the usage of the more-deformation-mods. And i agree with @Pinecones ... all other games will look disappointing compared to the physics of Drive
If they going to make pc port, they should fix this silly car handling. I spend many hours just driving in gta4 after discovering that lowering mass center and increase engine power cars become very enjoyable to drive. Im not going to buy gta sa with better graphics and bigger map, sorry rockstars.
There will definately be mods that makes the handling more realistic. I'm sure you're not the only one that thinks the handling is arcadey (I do).
The damage seems to be pretty decent anyways. http://i.imgur.com/KZscPqp.png posted link, don't want to spoil for those who doesnt want to see.
So they've removed wheel damage. Fantastic. How dumbed down have they made this? I'm starting to worry that even the core gameplay mechanics may have been dumbed down.
They've made the driving so that "anyone" can drive a car easily. Personally I loved the GTA IV handling.
Same. It just felt like the cars had weight to them and it felt solid, not all loose and half assed like these new physics or physics in games like Need for Speed. I quite liked Midnight Club LA's vehicle handling as well.
WHY, JUST, UGH, so angry, i wont be able to get the console version (no, nothings wrong with my 360 or anything) so this was my scrouce of gta v video's, and now, stupid ******* rockstar and take two have terminated his account D: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUAzHFOTVsKwZUquUZECKMA - - - Updated - - - WHOO, high quality video, and lets play:
Think about it though... If you were a game's company, would you really want leaked gameplay being exposed a few days prior to the game's grand release? I sure wouldn't, neither would you probably. The game is out very soon, I'm sure you won't succumb to your lack of leaked videos.
What? I mean, seriously? Imagine you work on a something for years and putted as much effort and money in it as you could to get the best possible result. You want to release it ona certain date. And now some faggot kid releases a preview on what you tried to kept secret for years? I hope he will have to face much more consequences than just a determinated youtube acc.
Guys really? you're complaining about damage in gta? personally i like the way it looks for a gta game; in fact the way more parts fly off now and the windows break, i think it looks great, even though the deformation was slightly turned down. But keep in mind guys, they did mention they would make the cars more grippy, and feel more like the game 'midnight club la', and that was an arcade street racing game. i think rockstar did a great mix between realism and the original arcade gta style, judging by these videos. plus, besides the car damage, everything else looks astonishing, great graphics for 360/ps3, and a huge map, and the way the police dispatch sounds now, and all the sounds in general are hugely improved!
