World Editor Camera issue

I'm not sure if this should be considered a bug or not but it's very irritating. Before I go into the world editor I go into free cam mode (SHIFT + C) so I can move around. After I'm done in the World Editor (I usually place another car or two), I exit free cam. The issue I'm having is the moment I switch vehicles, I can no longer move the camera around with the mouse, and I can't get into free cam anymore. Pressing SHIFT + C just changes the views on the current car. If I go into the editor and exit it, I can move the camera around again until I switch cars, and then the issue returns.

Is anyone else having an issue similar to this?

 

I Had the same problem... turned out i deleted the car i was driving and my camera was half in the ground dead unmovable. until i switch cars and then in editor to changed view for to 1st view and to 3rd view and back to first view and u can change cars and camera is working fine again.. if this is your problem try doing what i did in editor change views in bottom right but select a car first...

 

Tried that to no avail, still the same problem. Went into the cliff map and same problem appears just by switching vehicles. Camera works fine until I switch to another car. This is weird and it started with the most recent update. It wasn't doing this before.

 

Have u tried Ctrl+R and then pausing Physics and change camera in Editor to 1st or 3rd person etc... and continue physics again? also what are your graphics/system specs?

My best Guess is its gotta be same issue i had when playing in editor and spawning cars without freezing physics i had that same issue... i figured it out fast im sure its nothing major... maybe someone with More knowledge then me and Q in here and resolve this simple problem...i think its a normal issue when no car is selecte the camera has nothing to view and stays stationary until a car is slected but i can't say for sure this is your problem but i learned my lesson in the editor and prevented it from occurring all though correctable in seconds if i forget and it happens.

 

I'm having the same issue. Camera seems to freeze/lock up when spawning another vehicle and I have to enter editor again, freeze physics, adjust camera speed, re enable physics, unpause game. This works 50% of the time. CTRL+E does not work when this happens. Quite the hassle when trying to place a vehicle to be smashed.

 

Well I was hoping that the latest patch would fix this issue but the problem still persists. It started with the last update, before that everything was fine.

 

im getting the same issue I use the world editor go into free camera just shift click to drag a new car in and then go back to normal cameras and into the game and there locked behind the car not an issue for driving but I want to see the damage I do only happens occasionally but still very annoying only way I can fix it is to close drive then reopen it

 

Really hope this gets fixed soon. Makes it kind of hard to play with multiple cars otherwise...

 

Yep I have the same issue.

 

I might have found a temporary workaround - entering debug mode through L or K usually frees up my mouse camera controls after switching vehicles. I can't guarantee that it'll work for the rest of you, but it's worth a shot if you haven't tried it yet.

 

Im having the opposite problem. I get into free cam and cant get out
