Well i was looking in game at the road and building and i feel like the game distance and speed arent really close to reality?

I may be wrong since it a game and i cant really compare to driving my own car.

But considering im using a 3 monitor setup that should increase my feeling of speed. no?

I know what you mean, many people notice this. Speed in game is accurate, It is just hard to feel because in the game you feel no G-forces or anything, you just see the acceleration.

I believe it has to do with the lack of motion blur in this game and some other graphical settings which escape me at this moment.

Most other games shift FoV with speed and also apply motion blur, this makes things appear faster on screen (in some cases faster than they really are) and lack of them can make things seem slower than they really are.

If you actually go and time the distances between 2 points you'll find the BeamNG speedo is correct. But with the current graphics engine it simply doesnt portray it to the user in an effective manner.

No idea i always disable blur in any car game or game since i hate the feeling.

Recent game i played is the crew so it really far from real life.. But it do feel your going fast.. And you feel in the steering when your losing traction and you can fight back the steering.

Can do that in beam ng but the front tire always seem to become ice and never grab. Well i do know the front tie rod are loose on most car in beam at high speed.

Just feel strange. Example when i try to drift on a map with a ((mesh road)))

Go 60mph in a turn feel like you drive 30 and you turn and the front start to slid So you try to turn where you want to go but the car never want to follow. Full throttle no throttle half anything with the g27 at 900 turn

    (Rwd)

So you think the other ways yea sometime if you turn the wheel the other ways like in real life it should push you back but it just slide and never catch like your going ways faster.

I cant figure out if im just the worst driver on earth or something ahah ;)

No issue drifting any fourwheeler on any condition in real life ice snow sand grass etc bald tire or brand new tire... Never tried to drift a car or truck..

One days im maybe going to figure out how to feel the speed im going at ahaha

Should be at default.. No idea never changed that in any game except to put it back to the same as every game i think they default at 90

    I second this.
Sometimes you don't even realise how fast your going, then you attack a corner and end up it the wall. I hope motion-blur is implemented soon as it should give BeamNG that extra feeling of speed.

    Yea maybe that would help..

Just ended down a mountain at 80 kmh in a turn.. Started losing front of my rwd car uh the cop drift car... Damn i cant even remember the name ahah.

I just dont understand how the front can slide when my rear tire are bald for drift. The back should slide and the front stick but everything slide sideways down ahahah.

Il continue watching youtube video.. They do ways better than me so i can learn :)

your drift issue, well you're comparing to the crew, an arcade racer not a simulator. Though yes that game employs a shifting field of view which would likely help beamng.
60mph turning can very easily cause understeer in a rwd or FWD.

I honestly find it quite easy to drift in beamNG, are you just using normal configurations of the cars or do you make your own configs?
There is your "problem" if you play with a fov of 90 in most racing games then thats almost definitely too high even with three monitors, beamNG likely has a lower default field of view so it makes it feel slower than you are used to in other games. I recommend doing a bit of searching around the internet to find out what your field of view should be set to for your monitors and distance away from them and then make that the new FOV you use in all racing games(or at least ones that arent too arcadey) It will give you a much more proper sense of speed.

Yea may be the issue i have.. For the first time im trying to check my speed and all in turn and it do help.

In real life you can feel losing traction. In game it another story and it seem i cant understand it yet.

I was ways better in Rigs of rods. :)

I drift well with the d15 extended cab offroad with stage 3......

Must not be only my bad skill doing a drift at 100mph with a pickup with the suspension height to max.....

Remember doing drift some month ago with the truck stat tweaked at like 250-300kmh
