It looks good to me.. Front reminds me a tad of the Toyota FT-1 .. At least I had to think of it while looking at it .. Anyways .. looks cool
That's a good point, plus the fact that they say it wont really be here until 2020, so a lot can change in that amount of time.
That's a nice looking car, but I hope they keep it well under that 8m yen price. That's near $80k and that's a bit much for an RX IMO.
I'm not going to believe this is real untill i actually see one in optical camo test driving around the nurnbergring. Because if we believed everything on the internet. We would've had a Mk V Supra, a new Celica, a new MR-2, a new Silvia and a new S2000 by now... As for the cars design, Mazda has to stop copy pasting that ugly nose onto every one of their designs.
You were saying? Ford F-150 Ford Lobo Lincoln Mark LT Technically, what you're going for makes sense with automakers slapping the same front end on cars.
And that too. But look at the new ford models that I screenshotted, thats worse. The vans, cars and some crossovers look the same but copy and pasted. Atleast Mazda looks better.
i wont even start with the hardcore copypasting of the new audis and benz's. anyway , if there should every be a new rx model (which i heard will be a new rx7) , i wonder how well they improved the rotary in terms of reliability - which is imo the most important thing in a new rotary-powered car.
Can't the world realize we don't need rotary engines with all their inefficiency? They are still a cool idea tho.
@BlueKnight @Quotex @NinetyNine! It's a company signature, no different than a logo. BMW, Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Jeep, Volvo, Nissan, Lexus, Audi, and Mercedes (to name a few) all use similar grilles across their lineups, and have for decades. Every company gives their product a "look" to make them easily recognisable, not just car companies. It's nothing new. Take this pen for example (it just happened to be the closest thing to me). Every single Esterbrook pen at the time this one was made used the same clip. /rant
To add to this, car companies nowadays often slap huge ridiculous badges on their cars and huge grilles because given all the safety regulations choking down car design, that's pretty much all you can do anymore to make your car look distinct from other cars. Speaking of regulations, the RX9 certainly won't look like this concept. Even today it wouldn't meet safety standards (A pillars too thin for rollover protection) so who knows what kind of abomination Mazda will be forced to produce 4 years from now. Seriously, when did visibility stop being a safety concern? Look at this shit. The entire damn car is a blind spot. Or how about this? Those A pillars better be good for rollover protection because this car is gonna crash for sure if people can't fuckin see out of it. Hell, Volvo even made a concept for high visibility pillars a while ago, and it never became a thing. Are people so irresponsible that they'd rather be safe in case of a crash rather than make an effort to prevent it? Seriously if the average new car driver was given a 30 year old economy car they would shit their pants multiple times and cry for mercy before even getting inside. Or is it that car manufacturers are doing it on purpose? More crashes = more totalled cars = more new car sales because you gotta buy a new one. Also good for raising insurance rates. the jews did this At least opel still gives a damn. Look at how nice that double A pillar is. What do ya know, you can actually SEE out of the damn car and avoid wrecking your several thousand dollar comfy machine. /rant
