-Background- If you don't know I have been "Attempting" to make maps for a while, none have properly been released or had a respectable amount of quality but with a much greater understanding of the level editor I am attempting a decent map. . -Update 1- As of now this map could either flop like all my others or become a full map, as of now I have some development images and information on this possibly upcoming map. -Screenshots for update 1- This is a image of the type of forest in this map. Here is the layout of a town im building, yes I am using eca base. A nice example of the elevation changes and a close-up of my custom road textures. A screenshot of my highway and a bridge over it. -Update 2- I have created a lake and added some forest around the highway, I also increased the texture length on the highway The end of the highway. More highway... -Update 3- Well it's 7/7/2016 and it's time to make a new update on map progress, I will start adding the dates of when a update came out now. So let's start off with what i've added and changed, first off I removed the eca town base as it was not really working out to well. I've added a few new routes which I will show in the screenshots below. Extra information Update 4 will most likley be the beta release of the map so it's gonna take a while for me to get update 4 out, I have to figure out if the download works and polish the map so that it's ready for download. This is one of the Work in progress routes that I am adding. As you can see there is no more eca town base like there was a few updates ago. The reason I removed the eca townbase is instead of making a regular town im going to make the town abandon, the screenshots above show the start of that. These screenshots are a distant view of the new switchback road I am making. Heres a Overhang I made with the mesh rocks on the switchback road, I didn't use the mesh rocks before because they didn't match the rock texture I had created but I just set the Mesh rock to use the right texture. These four screenshots show of A tunnel I am making, it connects to the switch back and then runs through the side of the mountain. -Update 4- I have finally made a early release, download may not work! The download should be in the link files. I will not put a description on the screenshots because if the download works you will be able to understand them.
This seems much nicer than the other "East Coast USA based" maps. Much more variation. Though I'm hoping that road texture will be improved.
Use about a 20 'decal size' stretch on your decal roads. Usually if you use 15~20 or so they're decent enough to not look stretched out, and on the opposing range of things, they won't repeat too much. The 3rd picture, taken from the roadway with the pine trees (or spruce/fir) looks really nice. Great job on the terrain. A nice, convincing environment is what really brings your map to life. If you need some textures for your Beamng.drive mapping endeavors, the highway textures I made are always up for grabs out of my Nevada Interstate and So-Cal Interstate maps. I have nicer, newer updated highway gfx coming out for the Tennessee map release in 2~? weeks. If you have half-finished maps and lose motivation while still creating it, dress up & finish off a small portion of your map. If you can get it nice enough where you want it, it'll help motivate you some more to continue. This is what I did when I came back to my Tennessee map, as it looked so bad, it didn't seem worth it. Accomplishment is awarded similarly to the amount and quality of labor put into mapping. This is really looking like a lot of effort went into it. I think this could really end up being nice with continued effort on your part. Keep up the good work. --Cheers

That looks like it's not in the right place directory-wise. Possibly an issue in the zip with file structure. Try extracting it to mydocuments\beamng.drive\levels\pine_hills directory, so the pine_hills.mis, pine_hills.forest and \art directories are in the mydocuments\beamng.drive\levels\pine_hills directory.
Loving it! There's only one thing I'm sad about. I wish there still was this town part like you first planned.
Something went wrong :C Many files is not in zip. This is problem. I'm try to fix it, but terrain file is not in zip.
Indeed, the textures are simply not in the zip, the map looks good, please fix it, thanks! EDIT: If anyone has an older version just so I can have a mess around, please share it.
