@Glenny_ The Toyota Mirai looks like it's wearing a gas mask if you look closely at the front of the vehicle.
The first car ever to run on compressed air (and hopefully, also the last one), the Eolo Car, designed by Guy Nègre for MDI. It shouldn't come as a surprise that the Eolo Car didn't go very far, both in a commercial (the project was announced in 2001 and shelved in 2003 when the Eolo division of MDI went bankrupt in a spectacular way) and in a physical sense (compressed air produced heavy condensation into the engine tubes that then froze into ice even after just a few meters run).

In which way? Other than having a large front-end but being rear-engined, it doesn't seem any stranger than any pseudo-military civilian vehicle.
