I was watching a bit of rally driving, and I got inspired by the way these drivers would catch rocks, smash into trees, have their hoods launch onto their windscreens, and roll their vehicles, and as long as their cars would still move under their own power and could steer somewhat, they would get them to the end of the stage, sometimes even with good speed. So I thought I would make a thread focusing on this aspect of the damage physics; pushing ahead and finishing whatever goal you had despite your car being in subpar condition. Feel free to share stories, screenshots, and videos of your experiences with driving damaged in BeamNG. Before I start posting some of my own, here are some good examples from rally racing.

Here are a couple of my own experiences.

This was done before the new version. I was trying to drive from one end of the Dry Rock Island main road to the other as fast as I could with low course knowledge to test the limits of the Ibishu Covet Rally. I got careless twice, and the second time I put the car through a very rough ride. It caused some instability and the hood was a visibility scare, but otherwise it drove straight and decently quick and I was able to get it to the end. Unfortunately I forgot to go to 3rd person camera to look at the damage at the end before I stopped the recording.

This was after the version update. Was trying to do a good lap within the new physics and I turned it too aggressively in the 3rd turn of the lap, rolling it. It sounded and looked like I hadn't killed my engine, so I threw it down into 1st while holding the clutch and launched it back towards the road as soon as it planted on the wheels. It was pretty bad, crabwalking diagonally everywhere, but I took it flat out around turns and over jumps to see how fast I could finish that lap. With the roll and subsequent damage, got a 2:30.461. Funny enough, after I smacked the rear end into the tree after the bridge, it drove straight again. I had quit recording though, and after I started recording I crashed it and killed the engine about 20 seconds later, so I scrapped the clip.

This was after the version update. Was trying to drive the Bolide in the new physics and smashed head-on into a tree. For whatever reason, it didn't break any essential parts and I didn't get stuck in the tree, so I cruised it back to the starting area, started recording, and tried to complete a lap in it. This is probably the worst condition I've ever gotten a car in while keeping it still sort of drivable, even including barrel rolls and lost wheels. I got a little too ahead of myself and only made about half a lap, but I wasn't even expecting to make it that far, so it was still enough of a victory for me.

I like how you rolled on the second video after steering too hard. That was difficult to achieve before the update.
