Interesting that we can't see the lower part of the map (maybe only a few meters are missing.) Look on the 5 vertical residential city streets, they just end near the horizontal street.
If you look at the highways they also seem to end unexpectedly I still think there is more to the map that maybe is not done or the devs just don't want to show us
@Randomgamer3210 This fit more to update speculation thread but forgive me. That's rather about 90% of map, look at drag strip it have to be 1/2mile(~0.6km) + braking reserve. It looks like it have about 1km, then measure highway with this length it have about 2.5 km so it's the same as Mitch said highway will have. There probably is a little more in South, because city is cut off and it will be probably surrounded by water like west part or something that will made it unable to cross. Italy is the biggest map started yet, so we know this is smaller it will be "just" 2x2km. Highways will be just closed by concrete barriers or damaged like bridge on Utah or anything else.
1.4 I measured the full length of the drag strip near my house on Google Maps. Including staging area, 1/4 track, and breaking zone its 4,500 feet. Which is just under 9/10s of a mile (1.4 kilometers). Could be just one section of the entire map.
Is it ever possible for this game to look more realistic visually? Or is that to much for everything going on in the game? So can we expect a Visual update? Anyway those older ETK cars look amazing. There should be an update where you can add a secondary skin to your vehicle, have a dirty or scratched on top of the main skin. Also I hope they can make the wheels and tires dirty with the rest of the vehicle. Anyway amazing job and congratulations on your hard work! BugBear and could learn a few things from you, they had an early access game also. . . they stop updating it and didn't do enough updates. Wreckfest may look better visually, and have pretty good soft-body physics, but in BeamNG.drive, users can do so much more. Keep up the good work! (Also I am not singling anyone out, I am just saying stuff about Wreckfest because that is an Early Access, Soft-body physics game like BeamNG.drive, but far more expensive and lacks updates.)
Can we get a side door for the H-Series van? This is something I've wanted since I first bought the game. Also, the Gavril I6 engine model could use an update.
Wow, seeing the whole timeline laid out and the emotion evident really put into perspective all the heart you guys must have for this project. It is very refreshing to see, keep up the amazing work!
Fortunately, the devs in charge of this game "actually" read these posts and sometimes use fans's ideas on new updates, which is great for the community. We believe in this game because it has an amazing potential, and there's still time to change or add things we'd like to see on the game.
I've been with you guys since a few years. At the start my friends said I was wasting money and this game would never be anything more than it was at the time. Some even thought it wouldn't make it to Steam (I bought it on the website). Mostly because the driving mechanics were horrible, then physics were still "buggy" and the game crashed a lot. But I continued playing the game because I liked the idea of a realistic car simulator. Now after all these updates, I'm proud to say that a couple of these friends own the game and I play it more than ever because it is awesome. Thanks to the BeamNG.drive devs!
Im pretty sure this wont reach you guys but could there please be some more sport cars. Or racecars like formula cars or nascar cars with extreme acceleration.
Wow. I remember back when the only thing about BeamNG were rumours and teaser videos from a completely different game engine, man it sure has come a long way! I can't wait to see how it turns out
I just want to say that im deeply in love with this game, i play it every single day. Keep this up you're doing a wonderful job. Edit: Thank you all for making this game, we as a community love you. Great work
Love all the work that has gone into this, and the fact that it is still being supported. I've followed BeamNG since before it's release. Watching it evolve and come together has been amazing and I'm excited to see where it goes from here. Good job to everyone involved!
Amazing stuff guys! One of the most rewarding game I've bought! Started with a purchase of the "tech demo" from the website, which got converted to a Steam Key and have been receiving updates ever since, can't even compare it with what it used to be! A very welcome change in the land of DLC! Keep up the amazing work!
