I drive one of these right now, since none of my 2 cars are regged at the moment (thats soon about to change though).
This is a last series '88 mk2 Opel Ascona (Vauxhall for the english, and i think its Holden in australia), it has a 2.0l fuel injected DOHC engine doing about 105Hp.
Its an ok car, but im far from loving it. It does its job good but nothing special. My other 2 cars, what are ACTUALLY mine are a '77 Ford Granada v6 and a '89 Escort Xr3i. Both great cars :D

Well, I Own two vehicles, and then I have my work truck. The kia and buick pictures are not exact but they look the same, color etc.

    I own a 2003 Kia Sedona

    And a 1996 Buick Regal.

My work truck is a 2014 Kenworth T800 From Miller Industries. These pictures are real.

Well I might as well join in on the fun, since I love my project cars :)

    Short, short story:

I'm always broke, both of these cars cost less than $1k when I bought them, and my budget for modifications is rock bottom. The MX-6 was a non-turbo with a turbo swap. Estimated power output was 200hp and 300tq @10psi, deadly fast.

The current 626 has the lower compression GT motor, and probably makes 180hp and 250tq. Work in progress.

1989 MX-6 DX, converted to GT, and a list of mods way too long to post here. (Now retired and stripped of parts to give new life to my new project)

I drive a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 long bed extended cab. It gets terrible gas mileage and costs $100 every time I fill up, but I love it:)

We used to have an F430 pretty much like this one:
    $(KGrHqJ,!joE+4435gBmBQImlDWbNg~~_12.JPG $(KGrHqZ,!o!F!NG+C1yMBQImlD(Qow~~_12.JPG
but it was to expensive to insure + we'd had it for ages so we got an old Porsche Targa (the last of the air-cooled porches) instead
    $(KGrHqV,!lcFGZicHi9yBRp7g4rbt!~~_12.JPG
The porsche is fun but not particularly suited to everyday use so we have a couple of everyday cars in the drive while this sits in the garage! There super cheap for porches aswell.

1999 Ford Escort LX @ ~170k miles. Nothing special under the hood, though its seen 117 mph. Only once, ever, and that's probably because the planets aligned.

Most recent picture I can find, which was taken almost two and a half years ago. The rocker panels on both sides are significantly more rusty than it was then and there are a few more dents. And there is some surface rust above both wheelwells on the driver side (bizarrely, absent on the passenger side). And the clear-coat is horribly deteriorating on the hood. Still just as reliable as it was then though and its never left me in a tough spot in the 5 years I've had it. Plus, they are ridiculously cheap to fill up and have a decent amount of storage. :) Plan on keeping it until it blows.

The last of the air-cooled Porsches was the 993, and that there is no 993.

Saw some other guys with mr2s which is awesome. I've loved these cars ever since I was little. They make great project cars.

    294868_275090655859281_1980709527_n.jpg

The first MkII MR2 I bought cheap with a blown motor.
    309829_275090542525959_1291431691_n.jpg

Taking the motor out. Have to drop it out the bottom with these cars. Easiest way. You can see how rough looking it was.

    312239_275090289192651_688351672_n.jpg

Motor out of the car. Connecting rod had punched a hole through the block.

    320034_275090719192608_1978147389_n.jpg

New motor going in. The bastards i bought it off of sent the motor with the engine wiring harness cut in half before the fusebox. I had a heck of a time splicing new connectors for the fusebox and ecu but got it running in the end.

    395100_327367570631589_1823649980_n.jpg

This is it today. Haven't done much else with it, just gave it a coat of paint. It runs nice and strong.
    553390_525266640841680_1129242266_n.jpg

2nd MR2 I bought for even less. Saw it for $700, had to get it. 115,000 miles, runs fine. Hell of a deal.

    542658_482339451815095_1553252348_n.jpg

After doing some body work. 3 days after I painted it, took it out drifting and tapped a tree very lightly with the front fender. You can kinda see the dent. :)

    944354_591007997600877_1302706447_n.jpg

And there it is today. Both of them are N/A. I'm always on the lookout for a 3sgte MR2, but can't seem to find one cheap. I might just have to swap one in.

And this is my baby. 2003 Dodge SRT-4 Neon, Stage 3 mopar kit, 50 trim, running just a dump pipe. Plenty of other mods. Got it dynoed at last years Carlisle Car Show 402 hp to the wheels, gets a bath every day :)

I drive a 2002 Buick Regal GS. It has a Supercharged 3.8L V6. I put a fenderwell intake on it, and straight piped it to the muffler. I plan on throwing a smaller pulley on at some point.

I also have this, it's a 1969 Pilgrim Bulldog Classic kit car. Has a four banger from a pinto. Project car, basically.

My 2008 Ford Focus Titanium 1.6l. Had it since last November to replace my 2003 Ford Focus LX 1.6l. The mk2.5 is certainly a huge step up from the mk1.5!;)
