That car just announces E30 M3 to me. Although the M3 of that time only was two door and had four headlights total.

It's a late-80's/early-90's German sports saloon. Of course it has that "look," but it's really doing it's own thing otherwise. Think of Gabe's cars as an addition to those cars, not a replacement. I know I'm the millionth person to say this, but as someone who designs cars (a lot, obsessively), it's really annoying when someone says "it looks like ____!"

 

To me, it does. If I am correct, the 2400i is in the same year range as the E30 M3. I believe it does, due to the 'boxy' styling that an E30 BMW has. Have you also taken a look at the rear door windows? They have the same lines that a saloon E30 has.

 

That audi is quite boxy too. The 2400I has more of an angle on the rear door winodws. Yea, I think im going too far. Lets just pretend the 2400I is a whole different car.

I definitely like to see it as its own entity. After h̶i̶n̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶a̶t̶ revealing a turbo option for the 6-Cylinder, the confirmed addition of 4-Wheel drive and a rally variant would be freaking amazing. Imagine a Group-B style car... We can dream, right?

 

Group-B in BeamNG, now that would be epic!

A Group-B Covet with the same configuration as the MG Metro..


Ontopic: ETK looks absolutely great. Especially love the small details on your cars. The front 'splitter', shock absorbing bumpers, cross-hatch pattern seats and wrap-around indicator lights are those typical 80's styling thingies.

Seriously, that's got such a 190E Evo vibe that if I were in your position I'd be tempted to take credit for giving Gabe the idea.

 

Hate to say it but the bodykit was actually almost finished when the post you quoted was posted

 

Ah well, guess great minds think alike.

BTW it's quite a surprise that this car has a twin-turbo for the high performance version(2446ttS?)
