ETK K Series slow launching in reverse.

Hello. I would like to report a bug with the ETK K Series. I don't know if i's only me, but with the 8-speed automatic transmission (the one that is mounted in the Kc6tx (A)), when launched in reverse, it just gains speed very slowly, even dropping the clutch at full throttle will cause it to go slowly. Also it takes a very long time to reach a decent speed at full throttle.

As I said, I don't know if it's only me or just a problem with the gearbox/clutch.

 

most of the K-series have this problem, even with the manual transmissions.

both of you likely have mods interfering. It should be noted that the K series uses the engines from 800 series so remove any 800 series mods.

 

I just tested this (in safe mode) on gridmap and I can confirm this happens when using manual (clutch assist) mode. In real automatic mode however it reverses just fine.

 

again, just fired game up, not duplicating that here, its just fine. Absolute only difference i can notice, arcade auto in reverse seems to have no traction control applied, it does in real/manual

 

I also have this issue with the K-Series and the 800 series. Youtubers FailRace and WhyBeAre also have this issue. 6677 what control interface do you drive with? I'm using Xbox 360 controller, and I do the reverse in manual clutch assist from a dead stop. If I don't 'launch' the vehicle by pressing in the clutch to rev a little, the cars have trouble reversing.

 

I tried videoing this, I cannot duplicate the issue with either a keyboard or an xbox 360 video, sadly MSI afterburner and OBS are both failing me so if you want video, you're gonna have to deal with old fashioned shaky cam.

Literal only conclusion I have is that you guys have ETK800 mods, the K series and 800 share some parts, 800 mods may be conflicting with the K.

 

Same issue here. First of all, I've never had an ETK mod, let alone any mods even installed at the moment.
I've took every step to to fix this, safe mod, cleared cache through launcher, manually deleted the documents folder, etc... Even did a complete reinstall of the game.

This and the chase AI are bugs that I and only some users have. Kinda strange.
And I can assure you I've done everything possible to fix these.

 

Im getting slow reverse without mods. Im using a keyboard but soon to get a DFGT. Maybe it is just for certain controllers. The unusual thing about it is that the car with a turbocharger tend to reverse slowly.

 

I do have some ETK mods, but safe mode disables them so that can't be it. I tried both my xbox one controller and the keyboard and both had the same result.

It is entirely possible though for bugs to appear for only some people, like the bug during the last couple updates where the part selector would reset after changing a part.

 

I've got the same problem with almost all manual equipped cars (D-series, 200BX with turbo, ETK K series etc) all of them reverses very slowly even if you launch it in reverse at high RPMs, It just seems that for some reason the reverse gear's ratio is set incredibly high. I've got no mods for any cars as of now and cleared the cache and the same thing still happens.

spent some more time, managed to get following results.
ETK K Series.
Manual transmission set to arcade. Functions fine.
Manual set to manual with auto clutch. No reverse.
Manual set to manual with manual clutch. Reverse works.
Automatic transmission set to arcade. Functions fine.
Automatic set to real automatic. Functions fine.
Automatic set to manual with auto clutch. No reverse.

 

So anything with autoclutch doesn't work for reverse

 

Effectively, just thought I'd present all 6 tests.

 

I use the auto clutch versions exclusively which is where you stated the reverse problems are. So it seems to be an issue with the way the clutch assist works. I have a similar issue with the 200bx race version where it takes a bit to get going. In fact, any car with low torque relative to its clutchTorque in the lower rpms have trouble going in those two modes.
