:| Are you KIDDING ME!? 38 days. My system ran for 38 days. Until I decided I wanted to update my video driver. Which killed it, as well as any open work I had in a matter of just a few hours. Time to revert to September 2015's driver

 

Thats not that bad. My Win 10 tablet usually only lasts about 5 days before Win 10 decides to auto update, usually as soon as I try to awaken the device for the first time on a certain day such as at the start of a lecture or when I want to do something that is important. But hey Microsoft knows best...

Good job I don't actually use it for taking notes and use it just for viewing lecture slides.

I think Windows 7 keeps backups on older drivers allowing you to revert back to a previous driver.

It may be the same on 10 as well, although I think I have heard of issues where the automatic driver update function built into windows may re revert back to the latest drivers, not sure which windows os version that was though.

In an organisation, is it generally acceptable if there is no official mechanism to complain about something? Therefore the only place you can complain is with the person who is running the thing that you are complaining about.

 

I think this is the best place to quickly post that my intention is not to make the forum more destabilised, and I hate to see that. I don't think it's been a particularly big deal this time but I don't want to encourage negative posting which is what tends to happen if I have been in a bad mood.
