At the moment V8 with stock intake is 244 bhp and 356 Nm. In comparison Moonhawk is 183 bhp 368 Nm but weights almost 50% more. The V8 might feel lazy to some people in stock form due to the extra weight it brings compared to the i4 engine options. If that's the case I recommend the Stage 1 supercharger with 408 bhp and 607 Nm.
Yes it unfortunately adds a considerable amount of weight (155,36kg heavier than i4 to be exact) mostly to the front axle. I could make it weight as little as the i4 engine but I feel that would make it too good and be unrealistic. Not that the whole thing is 1:1 on realism anyway. When I originally put it in I experimented a lot with the weight. It's still slightly lighter than it's Moonhawk equilevant. Basically if you lust for power but want the car to retain it's weight distribution I recommend the 2.4 liter engine with turbocharger.
I was going to do another engine swap mod like my ETK I6 one but with the Civetta V8 as it is much lighter than the big V8's and produces quite a bit of power. @makeman maybe you could put the Civetta V8 into the miramar. It wont be too hard seeing as you have ported the Moonhawk engine already. Maybe just use the beams for the engine bay support from the moonhawk though as the bolide will use beams different to a front engined car.
