I tried out Cessni's mods, which are meant to improve overall graphics of the game and was quite pleased Here is my video featuring them: His Reshade Preset In this video I also use his Sun, sparks, lights, smoke, dust, grass and tire mark mods. Links of them in the description Thoughts?
What's the problem, when the videos are on completely different subjects? That's like saying "why aren't all official cars packed in one thread, when their author is gabester?"
Those are vehicles... not videos. You could have hundreds of videos on your channel and if you make a whole new thread for each one, there are going to be hundreds of threads
And why not? I would understand if it was spam or something. This category is for videos and photos and the more the videos and photos, the better imo. As long as it's on topic.
Not true. People get annoyed (like me) when they're are too many threads. Say a new BeamNG video creator decided he/she wanted to make a thread showing off they're first, let's say, three videos. That person is obviously posting on the forum to get noticed right? Now how would you like it if right when you posted your thread, a person posted 4 new threads for all of their videos and yours never got seen. That's why if you just make one thread, it makes it a lot easier for (a) people finding your videos, (b) other people getting notice too and (c) keeping the thread count as low as possible so people can easily access the threads they want. Also, when you post on a thread it automatically jumps to the top so people will see your videos still. --- Post updated --- Another example would be if a person wanted to find a specific video of yours and they didn't remember the name, it would be SO much easier for them to just go to your thread and find the video they want. So, in the end, it's a win-win for everyone on the forums. Including you.
In some areas, yeah, you're correct. But what if people don't categorize videos by their makers, but by what is generally presented in them? That's far more logical. For example, when I want to find a video on a specific topic I search for the name, not the author, which doesn't bother me at all. If I really want to find a specific video and don't remember the name of the Youtube channel, I'll type the name of the video itself, or what it generally is about in the search box. Let people share whatever they want, unless it's off topic. If somebody has put a lot of time to make 4-5 videos (and not just crash compilations, but genuinely different videos) I'm ok with him making individual thread for every video. Newest threads stick at the top, that's how the forums work. And for a person, who likes watching the videos themselves, I don't bother who the creator of them is
Yeah they stick at the top... until 80 million different people post a whole new thread for their 4-5 videos as well because they are greedy and want more attention. I was told the same thing when I was a new YouTuber, I suggest you take this advice and make my life a lot easier. It's really not worth arguing. Besides, if you REALLY enjoyed a video, how in the world would you forget the channel name? You would have to have the memory of a 90 year old. Videos titles are far easier to forget.
I'm not gonna argue with you about which is more or less likely to be forgotten. When I watch a video, I take a look at the title and description, not the publisher.
Just let it be. Apparently some random people like to think they are the forum police or something and can't stop telling others what to do, even when you are complying with all the rules. I'm glad that you decided to share your work here!
I'm not being the forum police. It's just kinda spam when you post 80 different threads for all of your videos. Kind of like when people post all these threads for projects they aren't even working on to get attention. P.S. I'm not saying he can't share his work here... Now, I suggest we all move on with our lives and stop arguing.
