#SarcasticCommentOfTheWeek.... Really though, you think the devs haven't thought about making it easier....
Wow. It's really not that hard. You just have to learn it. Oh? You're too lazy to learn it? More power to you, just don't complain about it to us. We really don't care that you're lazy. P.S. It's not the devs fault that you find something hard to use when you haven't even used it.
It may not imply lazyness, He may mean an easier way to do it which often = more productivity, for example you can in all fairness walk 30 miles to work but you'd have to get up super early, eat much more calories and get home very late. Driving a car doesn't mean you are lazy, it just means more productivity, another example, a company needs to ship 700 cases of soda 300 miles away, each employee could carry 3 cans of soda and walk it the 300 miles taking about 3 weeks round trip. or the company can hire a Mac Truck to drive all the cases taking about 12 hours. Or he could be just lazy in that case, disregard the above.
To be honest, I actually don't know how it could be easier. The editor isn't hard to use or learn. IMO, it doesn't even take that much time. No, there really isn't that much in the way of tutorials, and none of them are videos, not that I need those. There is the Introduction to scenarios creation. However, the second and forth requirements might be hard for the OP... FYI, your comparison sounds like a math worksheet...
Im thinking of a drag and drop sort of system, where there is a list of pictures (trees, rocks, road parts) along the bottom of the screen and you drag and drop what you want. I guess it would be more of a UI teak than anything else, since this is sort of already possible in Tourqe 3D... So to sum up it would be more of a UI tweak that would then make it easier/noob/ and i guess lazy friendlier, but then again thats where productivity comes in, even for experts, it would create less hassle and make for ease of use, imagine you need a pencil to draw some lines, the pencil is in a box across the room, now instead of that the pencil is on a string in front of you at all times.. <--- where do I come up with this stuff.. Currently to add a decal or a road/tress you have to open a few panels click a few more things etc. not bad, but what if the tree/road was already in a panel with pictures that was always open, the power of UI tweaks. Or another way, maybe a vastly customizable UI system, akin to Blender, so you can have what you need always quickly available
