Title says most I just thought that some older cars (with carburetors) have manual chokes (and lawn movers ) for when starting the engine in cold weather and it is also possible to flood the engine with gasoline if you are careless This is just a suggestion for when we get engine air and possibly fuel simulation and would go well with the thermal simulation we currently have
Air and fuel simulation? So the existing functional aerodynamics model, ability to cut engines in water and drain fuel aren't adequate? Dont think chokes or flooding on start is required
But sometimes it is. On our farm we have a lot of old trucks every time we want to start them to move grain we pump the gas a few times. This gets gas in the carb letting the truck start faster because the carb would have to draw gas from the tank to fill it before it start thus taking more battery. (and the batteries are always almost dead) Plus on newer carberated engines, there are electric chokes that automatically activate if it is cold enough, bumping the idle up until the engine is warm enough. Honestly, I think this is a good idea to have when ,and if, we get the option to start engines.
You completely missed my point. I know how a choke and a carb work etc. I just dont think its a needed detail for the game.
