game does not recognize the operating system 64 bit

I am using windows 7 64-bit, but the game automatically opens the 32-bit version, and ends up locking in Some maps and closing the game for lack of virtual memory, I wonder if this problem has a solution, or if I will have to try to reinstall game. Please help me!

 

Please upload the beamng-launcher.log file in "Documents\BeamNG.drive". It should tell us why this happened.

Alternatively, you could just read that file yourself.

The launcher log says "OS is older than Win7SP1"
Do you have Service Pack 1 installed?

probably not, because just below the windows version does not specify the service pack, will be installing service pack1 using the windows update tool and retest the game

 

requirements for 64 bit support do include service pack 1.

 

I find it surprising that you don't have it installed. Pretty much everyone with Windows 7 has it.
I'm guessing you haven't run a Windows update in a LONG time. Either that, or you have a fresh(ish) install from a pre-SP1 disc.

 

Okay, successfully upgraded windows , the game is now displaying an alert to install the 64-bit version of the game , I'll have to reinstall the game ?, where I find the 64-bit version of the game ?

 

...It should already be installed. Try verifying the game files on Steam.

Both the 32 and 64-bit versions are bundled together with BeamNG.drive.
