Would it be possible to make the game run better on low end computers. Computers like ones powered by like an AMD A8 6410 and things along those lines on my system I am getting like 10FPS on my A8. Either way i was just wondering if and if y'all would do it
nope. If it were possible, it'd be running. The devs arent deliberately avoiding the low end. The fact of the matter is that you have a far more detailed physics structure than any other game running at 2000Hz (far in excess of any other game). It needs a beefy rig, not a bottom of the barrel barely entry level AMD A8
Hey just wants to mention to those of you who have a low end computer that it is possible to raise the frame rate a little bit by turning the Disable Collision on in Options under Gameplay. You will still be able to collide with the environment but not with other cars. So if you haven´t tried et yet chek it out.
But disable collision in a game about collision is rather pointless, it was added as the real last step for FPS.
You are wrong. For me it´s the driving part not the crashing part that is the primary. And I do think that this driving sim is the best driving sim out there for that, in a open environment. It has the best open driving environments that looks and feels natural and best cars that feels and looks natural. So if it is possible to have a further funktion to disable the deformations too, to get even better frame rates , that would just make the audience to enjoy this sim much bigger.
That's pretty much disabling the physics completely - nothing would work. You could disable physics on everything except for drivetrain/suspension/wheels and it'll still work, but you'll have no aerodynamics. If you can't run the game at lowest settings even after disabling collisions, it's time for an upgrade.
GPU bottleneck. Any i7 CPU is perfectly capable of running BeamNG without performance issues. The Radeon 6750 is a 5 year old mid-range GPU. Torque3D is poorly optimised graphics wise. Version 4.1.0 is also when the game switched to DirectX 11, possibly causing performance issues on low end GPUs.
Mine runs ok. I dont have a low end computer but it´s pretty bad. Having an AMD FX 4130 8Gb RAM and A MSI 960 4G Gaming. I get around 24 - 40 FPS
I had a GTX 580 until last year, which achieved 60 fps with one car. Four cars, however..... It had 1,5 GB VRAM
I have a i7 5820k OCed to 3.9ghz, i can run 10 cars no problem physics wise, but my graphics holds me back SO MUCH with a 750 TI that it is impossible for me to run over 3 cars without going below 40 fps from the intensity of the map and vehicle mesh. I cant wait for my 970 to arrive...
If I wanted to runn the game at 60FPS no matter what map I'm on, I'd need to play at lowest settings, because a GTX750 is just too underpowered to run the game at 60FPS on normal settings. CPU wise I can run 2-3 T75 depending on what config I use at 60FPS, my GPU is just holding me back sooo much.
