When i try to connect, it gives me a "connection timed out" error.
And yes, i do have BeamNG allowed in the firewall, as well as steam

 

Try running the game with admin rights.

 

Actually I just commented out the part where the app checked for wifi presence. That meant crashing, when there was no actual connection present.

Ahhh, I was running into the same crash and thought you might have a better solution. I'll look into it then so that in the next version, it's possible to use a local hot spot.

Hm ... it might be your router not letting the UDP broadcast through. You can try using a hot spot: Either install tanelj's apk or wait a few days for the next update of the app.

 

An issue with an LG L bello;
It scanned the QR code before the update, but after the app was updated it can't seem to scan it at all, tried different angles and all if that was the case, but to no avail.

 

Can you try with a normal barcode scanner app and see if that works? Should redirect you to the play store.

 

will the ios version be free?

 

Just tried it, it seemed to pick something up but didn't scan anything, I tried scanning a test qr code I found online just to be sure it's not my screen or phone or anything, and that worked.

Why is it dark around the QR code? If I remove that grey border around it, scanning works

 

That seems to be the dark theme. Options > Gameplay > Dark Theme

 

Hah oh jeez I had no clue the dark theme changed anything with the QR code..
Guess that's the issue, hah

 

Thanks! I've fixed this in the UI and the QR code should now also be scanable with the dark theme. This will be in the next update (of BeamNG.drive of course, not the app). For now, stick with the default theme to scan the code.

 

Both my tablets, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (GT-P5210) and Sony Xperia Tablet Z seem to have the same issue. The controls look almost as if they would be assigned to the wrong accelerometer axis. That and the gas-brake layout is auto-rotating according to the tablet rotation, so it's practically useless. Phones work well tho.

 

Htc one m8 android revolution hd 5.0. Firewall allowed access. It scans fine, however I get 5 second + input lag.
