    [Cancelled]-Van pickup

I decided to edit the cars which are already ingame, as i still did not get how to import my own.

This is a still wip, maybe it will be ready tomorrow for download. original model author - gabester

Any comments about it would be appreciated.

It's kinda cool, but doesn't really seem like a "good" mod. It looks like you put minimal effort into changing the mesh. I have almost no experience with 3D modeling, yet I feel like I could make the same mod in about 15 minutes. I advise you put a bit more time into it, like adding a tailgate, finishing the bed, etc.

Project cancelled. for the reason i do not know, the game files were deleted themselves, with this modded van. i will try to make more detailed, and better version.

This definitely needs some more work to make this a good mod. To get what I mean, have a look at this.

This mod does have plenty of potential, though. With some more work, this could be really neat. Besides, you've gotta start somewhere :D

There's something wrong with the smoothing groups, check how the light changes on the edges of each section of the car, it's not supposed to be doing that.
Either something happened to the vehicle's smoothing groups when you imported the mesh into your 3D app or the car itself simply needs a few edge loops to control the surface's lighting.

I've experienced that when importing the meshes into blender it removes all the split vertex normals and creates an entirely smoothed face. If he is using blender, he can use the edge split modifier to partially fix this, it worked for me but I found moving to 3ds Max a better alternative to avoid this issue.

Here's a helpful video to understand the issue,

    Re: [Cancelled]-Van pickup

Nice effort.. its a bit wonky as others have mentioned, though I'm not one to talk; I have no experience at all modeling anything, so I doubt I could do better.

I think a extended van body to fit the Cabster Heavy duty frame would be pretty cool though, and nobody has tried that yet.. Its just a bigger van body, so I can't being too difficult.. If I were to try modeling something I'd start there, but I won't, so if your inclined then give it a shot.
