This is a little project I've been working on. I wanted to do it as a project to get used to 3ds Max. Options include: A 2.4L I6 that can push up to 211hp when equipped with a stage 2 turbo, also includes stage 1 AWD with or without limited slip differentials RWD with or without limited slip differentials Rally tires for increased off-road grip This is its own vehicle and will NOT replace the stock covet. Also, the only version really worth driving in my opinion is the rally version, but try them all out and see what you like best. Thanks to gabester, for the awesome model, and thanks to Blade3562, for the idea in his initial thread. Just drop the hatchpickup folder in the vehicles folder and you're ready to go! Video! Pictures!
This looks great! Can't wait to see how this one turns out FastestClassic EDIT: Ooh, had an idea. Why not put a spare tire in the bed of the pickup instead of the one under the car? Now that'd be neat to see
I think it should be only a little bit longer, but this is really awesome - - - Updated - - - I think it should be only a little bit longer, but this is really awesome
There is no tire under the car I tried doing that initially but everything seems to get rather weird because I'm only modifying the model, not the .jbeam files for the tail lights, wheels, beam/node mesh etc. I'll have to do some more research, and experimenting.
I think it should stay at the current length for now, actually. I like it. And also... Oh, I didn't know that, never mind FastestClassic
Re: Ibishu Covet Pickup Modification - Updated I think the bed should be black with some ridges. Example. Other than that... MY GOD. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS
Re: Ibishu Covet Pickup Modification - Updated If I do end up doing something like that It's gonna be a lot of work for my noob skills. There's not really much room left on the texture sheet, being it's only 1024x1024, that's kind of a bad excuse not to do it though haha. But I do like that look , it's what I intended to do when I started.
Re: Ibishu Covet Pickup Modification - Updated If the texture doesn't work, I bet it'd look fine in the normal car's paint colour. It's just the overall flatness of the bed on the model that bugs me. So here's what I think you should do: go back into the model and add the ridges to the bed of the Covet. That should do the trick (at least I think). I don't know how that'd affect the lighting, though...
Re: Ibishu Covet Pickup Modification - Updated Firstly I need permission from Gabester, which I haven't asked about yet. Then I still need to add glass to the back window, work on a texture for the bed, and fix some shading issues on the model. So it might be released, or maybe not, it's up to Gabe and what he wants.
Awesome! Did you just take the covet and lengthen the rear end and removed the top to make it a short bed?
I actually just removed the top and did some other stuff to model the bed. It's still the same length as the original covet haha.
I'm surprised gabe hasn't given this his blessing already, hell, if it turns out good enough I wonder if this could become one of the optional choices for the covet, rally suspension and standard tires to make it a little more truck like.
Haha thanks, but I don't think it's that good I actually just finished the new node/beam mesh, which is just a modified version of the covets original. Making progress
amazing!!! - - - Updated - - - i noticed the dash is a bit to the right i had not crashed when i took this
I dont want to beg, but if you are gonna do mods to other cars aswell can I suggest a wagon version of the Grand Marshal?
