Ibishu Covet FWD -> 4WD conversion

I'd like to convert Ibishu Covet Rally to 4WD drivetrain, how hard it would be?

What else do i need to do for 4WD conversion, in addition of axleBeams copying into hatch_wheels_R ?

Seems that 4WD conversion works that way. Limited Slip Differential can be copied to rear side from the hatch_engine.jbeam too. Rear differential must be defined in the transmission code.

Here's a Ibishu Comet with 4WD conversion. Also, three more turbo stages, rear limited slip differential available, and 6-speed manual instead of 5-speed. Have fun, much more fun than FWD
I think the turbo stage 2 is most balanced of those stages.

EDIT: Four more turbo stages, in addition of stock transmissions, there are 6-speed manual (FF/FWD), 8-speed manual (4WD) and 6-speed manual (FR/RWD). Also FWD models keep their front wheel drive.

Five new models available for Ibishu Covet:

Covet 1.5 DXi Turbo 4WD Stage 5: 1300 hp drag-machine (Limited Slip Differentials at front and back, 8-speed manual)
Covet 1.5 DXi Turbo 4WD Stage 2 Drift: 336 hp drifter (Limited Slip Differential at back, normal differential at front, 8-speed manual)
Covet 1.5 DXi Turbo 4WD Stage 3 Rally: 525 hp rally car (Limited Slip Differentials at front and back, 8-speed manual)
Covet 1.5 DXi RWD Rally: (without turbocharger, Limited Slip Differential at back, 6-speed manual)
Covet 1.5 DXi Turbo RWD Rally: 187 hp (Stage 1 turbo, Limited Slip Differential at back, 6-speed manual)

Turbo stages: Stage 1 (stock, 187 hp), Stage 2 (336 hp), Stage 3 (525 hp), Stage 4 (710 hp), Stage 5 (1300 hp)
Maximum speed: about 370 km/h on 8-speed 4WD transmission and Stage 5 turbo.


Files hatch_wheels_R.jbeam and hatch_engine.jbeam to folder: vehicles/hatch. Backup previous versions of those files before installing these.
New models.zip unzipped to vehicles/hatch too.

Installed both files, got the different turbo stages, but I have no options for rear diff. or 4WD?

 

Same problem here, I just love this car, and sadly this mod doesn't work =(.

I forgot to make different model, the names are unchanged (says FWD in the menu). When transmission is automatic, it is FWD, and when on manual transmission, it's 4WD and then the rear differential can be chosen. Hmm... This mod needs a little more work, i'll polish it

From the ctrl+W menu, you can select AWD and RWD differentials, as well as a high-revving race engine with big turbocharger, and close ratio 5 speed gearbox, an absolute must for the race engine.

EDIT: Does not visually modify vehicle because I am untalented at 3d modelling. There are no rear diff or driveshafts visible.

 

I have now corrected those bugs, please update your files using those new files in my second post. Models are available directly from car subtype selection menu.
