I'd like to start modding and was wondering (Assuming I can get permission from the original mod creator who I will ask when I find out if I can even do it.) if there's any way to "Import" a car from Redline Street Legal Racing. I know it's possible to go from ROR or render it myself, (If I had the skill.) but this will be my first venture into this and would like a little advice with the idea. ^..^

The short answer is not likely...

Other games do not use the same physics engine as BeamNG which is what makes it so awesome. But, on the other hand, if you could get the model from the original creator (in the form of a .dae file: Digital Asset Exchange) then you would theoretically be a few steps ahead to getting that car into BeamNG.

With the model of the car you could then start to create a jbeam file for it. Assuming the model you get is separated out nicely and scaled properly, you could just map out a good network of nodes and beams and be on your way :)

Just sent word off to the author of the other mod and I'll see if he will get back to me. Then hope my hardware is enough to manage to set it up. I may need the help of a 3d modeler to hack at the models a bit to get a couple other parts seperated that are normally attached but other than that it's a really nice model.
