Whoops, sorry, thought this was the bug reports for the update... silly me I'll delete the contents of my previous post
The rotation doesn't work on my tablet. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, Android 4.4.4, not rooted. the buttons work btw.
Lenovo Vibe P1m - accelerometer seems to be working, because the screen is balancing, but the game itself does not get any xaxis data (buttons work fine).
Have you considered iPhone support? Splitscreen multiplayer would also be nice since you have 2 input devices by using the app.
Just for testing purposes - if your steering does not work, you can try this one: http://tanel.jairus.ee/steering3.apk If you get timeout errors, but your PC is wifi-capable (all laptops are), then you can try connecting to phone's hotspot and then trying to connect.
An iOS version is planned Splitscreen can also work with controlers, etc. The game will soon also support connecting multiple phones. What is different in this apk?
Steering part is modified to use the same method as dash rotation. Wifi check is removed to allow using phone hotspot.
i have a brand new s6 edge and it ether says connection timed out or just doesnt work or scan in general. someone help plz!
Having a hotspot would require turning off Wifi and using mobile data which I don't have unlimited of
Since the important data transfer occurs between phone and PC, you can disable the mobile data access. That way you have connection between PC and phone, just not between PC and internet.
On the splitscreen topic, Me and my friend did the 2 players on free roam, he was using my g27 i was using my xbox one controller. Was super awesome and fun just limited to one viewpoint. From the research i've done on the game engine this uses, it would not be very hard to implement. a split screen for atleast 2 local players. There would need to be a specific mode that takes you into a new ui where there would be the generic controller selection we currently have. Then next step would be implementing apps between the windows. Globally either player could pause the game and from there a new ui placed probably centerfold would appear to either reload current map, change controller selection, modify apps for player 1/2(depending who opens menu) and return to main menu. Split screen should not be that hard. Modifying the ui and the app system would be hard , probably laggy as well since there would need to be 2 different app groups updating at the same time, Maybe reduce the update speed for splitscreen apps to make more optimal performance?
