    When you're car is on fire you can drive under water and your car wont be damage(engine wont stop) and it's pretty much invincible For me it happened once and I didn't try it out again.

    That's a modded map?
    Then the map doesn't have water properly set up.
    If you try on official map, that doesn't happen.

    Try deleting your (Documents\BeamNG.drive\cache.0.5.0.0) folder.
