Welcome to Smiths Forest and Barn, Today, I have some special cars in need of attention! The cars I have for sale here, are from the hit 1989 movie "hiding". First up, the Moonhawk This moonhawk started life as a stock V8 car, but was purchased by the movie company in 1986 and converted into a race-special, with a 2 Stage Supercharger. The car sat in dry storage for 3 years before being dug out and used as the stunt car for the movie. I was the main cameraman for the movie so I can remember the car performing and sounding well. It was beat up on set, suffering rear end damage and the front end got smashed right in. The car has dents all round and is now in a rusty state. After the movie, we took the car to an old paddock and thrashed it around before driving to a park that was closing down. I parked it under a tree, revved it up, shut her off and left her there till this day. The car will need going through, rust repairs and the like, but I would recommend you leave the exterior as is because it is a genuine movie car that starred in a movie that was considered the best on the century. The 456 V8 will need a full rebuild, but I wouldn't be surprised if it still went, they were built like tanks! original 33,686 miles, don't miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity! They raced together, and were often seen in the same scenes. Near the end of the film, the 2 characters turn on each other, resulting in a race causing much damage to both classics. This car was bought in 1986, and was tuned up in 1989 for the movie. It too, was kept in dry storage. This is the rare KS package, so large upgrades were not required. I parked this one up in the same forest area as the moonhawk. This car went great during filming but we often had to stop due to noise complaints! The car has damage all round, like the moonhawk. Has the original 456 V8, and 55,677 miles. Don't miss out on this icon, for only $9,500 ONO Finally, the film truck This is an old D15 that the studio purchased for us to film in. We had a full camera rig setup in the back and it was a perfect camera truck. The studio bought this from Terrilander motors in 1989, 3 weeks before filming. Me and a few guys used to drive it home and show it off to the neighbourhood kids, because they loved the new technolodgy back in '89! The old 6 lasted through filming, and although filming sounds like an easy job for a pickup truck, we had to floor it to even get close to the main cars! It was used daily during filming so it clocked up to 189,912 miles, in its life. The 267 6 CYL still goes ok, but could use a tune if it were to be of any use. To verify this truck was in fact the truck used in filming, it can be seen in many behind the scenes photos like the one above. This truck would be perfect for the BEAM-O-LITION Christmas derby in a few weeks time! It needs a suspension check up because a few days after its filming job was over my buddy drove it into a ditch, rolling it over. These cars will not be parted out. I am winching them out and taking them back to my yard early tomorrow morning, at Smiths Salvage in Parlowa (fake town FYI).

Hirochi Sunburst Sport DCT from 2015, 15k miles OTC. Amazing quality, had this car for many long commutes on the Riverside Expressway. Goes like a dream and is fitted with a CarPlay system (I ripped out the standard nav and fitted it). For £11,999 or even a used D15 Sport. Need the pickup for a pickup meet in 6 weeks.
