Yes, i know that this is like experimental. But where did they go? the last one was 0.3.8.1 and i havent seen another one since.

    So, why?

    Here's my idea

Have a "nightly" branch, which would update when buildbot rebuilds BeamNG for testing.

Or the old system would work too.

This created more problems than it solved.

Too many people were not keen on playing slapped together builds and it broke things quickly causing everyone to complain about features because they don't understand what a devish version of an alpha build means... bugs. But people are people and they will complain about everything.

As much as I liked the old experimental branch, I also don't miss it for one second. Because the current solution is sufficient and convenient.

Also, many people did not understand the concept of experimental branch, and I can only imagine the headache devs had because of this.

And to be honest I don't mind waiting for the updates. If you get too much of something, too often, it take the magic out of it. Every kid dreams about candy every day and staying up late watching scary movies, but let them have that everyday and it won't be special anymore.

I regularly come back to the game. Another example of that is the game Rust, which is a similar kind of situation. I play the heck out of it for a period, then take a break and just follow the progress. So next year I will take a period where I play the heck out of it again. Instead of other games that are released, you play it, then never touch it again. So keep on keepin' on, BeamNG.
