Your game for learning

I may have mentioned beamng to a drivers Ed school and they are pleased of how realistic it is. They said there going to start using it in the classes when they get a wheel. I think you guys should start mentioning the game to driving schools.

 

i can try. they havent bought it yet but they are very intrested

 

Cool that they engage in new ways to teach.

They might want to have a capable computer to run it too.

Some pedal feel simulation would be cool. It's a shame there aren't more progress in this area in the industry for commercial sale. One could have a simple servo attached to the pedals to simulate clutch engaging, which is very hard to learn on a racing sim setup, if you don't understand how it works in real life or know how it should feel. Many people don't really know how gearing and gear ratios works either. Or overstead vs understear, which is very important to have a feel for in regards to road safety. Most people panick when they get in unforeseen, scary situations and slam the break, which could make the situation even worse.

 

I wish some driving schools near me would do that....
