Before I ask my question, I just want to state that I have looked through the forums a little bit about racing wheels, and an thoroughly confused. I apologize if this same question has been asked, I'm not sure about my specific racing wheel.
I am thinking about purchasing BeamNG Drive, and want to know whether or not my racing wheel will work with it. I am very tight on money right now, so I really want to know whether or not my wheel will work, as that will greatly impact my decision. I have a Thrustmaster Ferrari GT Experience Racing Wheel (Link here), and want to know if there is any way that will work with BeamNG drive. Like I said, I have looked a bit through the forums, and am pretty confused about input files and such. If there is a guide explaining such things, I would be glad if someone pointed me to it. Is my wheel curretnly supported (I saw that some wheels were already supported in the game, I think) or am I going to have to make my own input file or whatever? If I have to make an input file, could someone assist me in doing so? Also, since this game has support for 360 controllers, I'm assuming if I used a wired PS3 controller through motionjoy to emulate a 360 controller that would also work? Sorry if the answers to these questions are obvious, I'm new. :p Thanks in advance!

You'll need to set it up to work but if it works with other games and shows up as a controller in the control panel then you have nothing to worry about.

And yes a PS3 controller emulated as an xbox controller will work fine. Been doing it here.

Thanks! I'll hopefully be buying it within the next few days, so I'll go ahead and try to set it up.

I'm having trouble setting up the inputmap file. I found the really long number you put in the template, but I have no idea how to set up the file after that. Any help? I'm using the demo, but it should still work, right? Thanks!

Is there a way to make the in-game steering match the angle of the wheel exactly in real time? Ive found the game takes a second or to to catch up after I make a dramatic steering input.

Also, I cant get all 900 degrees of my g27 to work. It just used the 90 on either side of dead center making for very sensitive steering.

Dynamic steering is a feature of the game to allow the smooth control of vehicles using a keyboard. Since you are using a steering wheel you must press Shift + B to disable this feature.

    Look through it: http://www.beamng.com/threads/1473-Post-Your-Inputmaps!
I think someone created it already, but not sure.

I looked through that thread, and did not find my wheel. There was one by the same manufacturer, but that one had a clutch, which mine does not. Not sure if it will matter or not. Thanks!

D: I really hate to bump the thread, but can someone explain how to configure the input file? I looked on the wiki, and I don't really understand. I want to make sure my wheel works with the demo before I buy the full game. Thanks!

Are the other people using wheels finding that the wheel angle in-game stays synced up with the wheel in real life? I cant figure out how to make the game not treat is like a game pad input and slowly crank the ingame wheel around untill it matches.

use shift+b to switch between direct-steering and the default mode for keyboard/gamepads :)
