So i bought this game for my birthday money! I didn't check what platforms it was available for so now, i basically wasted my money. I've been watching tons of video's on youtube about this game so i decided to buy it. But that was my biggest mistake, i should have bought Turbo Dismount since they're got a less popular game and they got MAC support, why cant even a popular game like BeamNG drive have that! Like why should every mac user have to buy theyre own Windows computer just to play 1 game. You guys at BeamNG drive headquarters should just allow everyone to play instead of forcing the players to buy a new computer. Remember "the costumer is always right" Well you guys failed that part which means in my opion that you're an unprofessional company so I want my money back so I can buy Turbo Dismount, Or you guys fix this because I really want to play this game without having to pay another 1000$ for a computer! Take you're time to make it mac supported but atleast get it done.

Beam NG DRIVE I WANT A REFUND MY STEAM IS My steam is "AndreasHareide" And if you refuse then I really hate you guys, So please I'm 13 don't steal my money then give me a refund , and if u don't give me a refund then you're basically stealing money from a kid

idk how hard it is to convert a game to mac, but i would think it would be pretty difficult. If you bought it on steam, see if you can get a refund.
if not, you could install windows onto your mac. or you could use a program called parallels. or even virtual box may work. Then theres crossover which has a slight chance of working.

of course if your mac doesnt have a higher end processor and graphics card, its not worth going through the trouble, as you wont get nice fps.

That's integrated graphics. Meaning your graphics run off of your CPU, which already isn't very powerful as is. You couldn't run this game even if it did run on Mac.

Yeah Mac support is planned, and so is Linux.
I run linux and i do run the game through WINE, works pretty flawless even tho i am stuck at version 0.4.0.6 but that is not their fault.
There surely is a Mac counterpart to WINE that can emulate windows programs, so stop bitching and get your ass up and make it work.
Also, when you use a rarely supported OS, you always better make sure you will be able to run the game one way or another, You learn that pretty quick.

No, WINE is freeware and open source. I can't help you on Mac because i have never worked with any, but i bet the internet is full of tuts howto.

Possibly. But I wouldn't upgrade to another Mac if you plan on upgrading. If you want to use your computer for gaming, you'd be sooo much better off getting a PC. You wouldn't have to worry about compatibility at all.

Look, I have a mac too, but you must understand that Mac represents so little a market in the gaming industry (< 3%) that it's not really a worth it. So from a business standpoint it's most certainly not worth the extra money going into the development plus building and supporting two or more versions of the game. Let's also consider the amount of things that would need to change to get it to work on mac; the game uses DirectX, which doesn't work on mac. Rebuild the graphics engine took months to switch from DX9 to DX11, so expecting a port to OpenGL is not really feasible.

Most importantly, 90% of macs don't actually meet the requirements for the game. There's no Macbook out there that can run BeamNG, because of the mobile CPUs and basic integrated graphics, and iMacs aren't powerful enough unless you're going for the really high end ones, but even then their underwhelming graphics hardware would not be able to run the game at the massive resolution that the high end macs sport.

The developers are not forcing you to buy a new computer, nor did they force you to buy the game, plus it is mentioned all over the place that there is no Mac version available. Why do you think that GTA V, or any other graphically intensive game aren't available for Mac? Does Rockstar hate macs? No, it's just not profitable nor would any of them run it very well. Macs are NOT gaming computers, and that's something both you and I have to deal with. Does making smart, maybe harsh business decisions make a developer an "unprofessional" company? Perhaps in the distant future you can expect a mac version, but not for a long while.

You can get a refund through support.

You know I don't want the game anymore if its a requirement to get a more than 1000$ windows computer for the game, I'd rather have a refund

It's a little ironic that you're bringing price into this, my computer that runs BeamNG high settings at 60FPS cost about $700 to build, whereas last time I checked most macs were upwards of $1200

Anyway, absolutely refund it if you can't play it. Contact support, they'll help you out.

The most important part is checking the compatibility, especially knowing that most games don't support Mac.

Also, my computer is worth about 400 euro, and it runs this game on high settings just fine.

Anyway you could always wait for a mac compatibility update.

Step 1 : Save up your money from your birthday
Step 2 : Wait till christmas
    Step 3 : ???
    Step 4 : Profit!

To be serious though, I got a 650€ PC just by waiting for my birthday and christmas and it runs BeamNG very well at normal settings at 1080p 60 (sometimes even more) FPS.
If you're patient enough you can get everything that you want.
Also, if I were you I wouldn't get anything from Apple.
Their products are overprized by hundreds of dollars/euros, and if you build your PC by yourself you could probably get the performance of a 1000+ dollar/euro mac for 500 dollar/euro.
