Just finished my new website that I've build from scratch. It's my first real foray into web design so I'd really appreciate your thoughts Also, resume is not real and just something I made in a quick 20 minutes, so try not to look at that under too scrutiny...
Looks pretty good. Colors and shapes are eye-catching. The only thing design-wise that I don't like is that the title on the main page doesn't stand out very much against the background of similar value. Perhaps making the title text and its shadow more contrasting will fix this?
I have had a quick look at it, its pretty neat. I also think that there are some things that could be changed. So first things first, when this website is viewed on a device with a smaller horizontal screen resolution, the about webpage text is super narrow. Perhaps widening it or using a single div with a much smaller padding value may look nicer especially on lower screen resolutions. Using only a single div with padding would be ideal but im not sure if you could get it to collapse in the same way that it currently does when you shrink the page width to much smaller resolutions. But if you set the padding as a percentage that may be a more attractive solution. I also noticed that you used divs to separate the paragraphs, instead it may be better to use a single div for all the text and wrap your text in <p> </p> tags for creating paragraphs. I also noticed that on mobile size screen resolutions your menu broke slightly with the wheels on pavement menu sliding out slightly and looking like it has been selected regardless of which page the user is on The wheels on pavement page doesn't work on mobile screen resolutions. You could make the font size set as a percentage i guess. Sine 480x800 is still a fairly common mobile resolution. Some really low end android devices also use 320x480 screen resolutions, which would probably have a hard time displaying the site. But overall it is a pretty neat little website.
I seem to have a sense of humour that is physically harmful to one of my friends. one observation: he's a horrible driver. So I made a joke that if he holds down the horn as he drives, any accident he gets in won't be his fault. Only for an hour later to learn he's been in a major car accident. Second observation: He lives next to an off license. I make a joke about drunk driver's in his area, that it won't be long till someone comes to vist upside down. only for 10 minutes later a drunk driver ploughs into the back of the car he got just after the last joke I made and end up rolling over into his front garden Observation 3. My friend has severe Athsma. So yesterday at mein university I knew He was on the third floor of the main tower. While I was busy exploring the building and ended up on floor 10. So I sent him this text: "The view on the tenth floor of the mbro tower is significantly more dreary than anticipated. However, Co2 is denser than air so it all congregates on the ground floor. Beware that I'm currently breathing superior air and thanks to special relativity, aging a femtosecond per second more slowly than you third floor dwellers. Healthy lifestyles and all that." I then made my way out of the building, which took about 10 minutes. Only for me to find an ambulance pulling up to the building which was odd. I learned when I got home the ambulance was for this poor friend of mine who suffered a major athsma attack a few minutes after I sent him that text. (Also, I'm aware that you age faster, higher up in a gravitational field before some smartass corrects me. He doesn't, so i was free to make that gag)
Perhaps you should make some jokes bout winning the lottery. Also, when you say mbro tower does that mean that you went to teeside university? (since it has a tall building in Middlesbrough, and the town name can be shortened to m'bro) This new likes based system can seem pretty harsh if interpreted wrong
Awesome, thanks for the feedback. I'll try and fix some of these/incorporate them into my next project.
So uh, returned back the 'Bluedio Turbine' headset as I was having a ton of problem using them via BT (And wasn't going to spend bucks to get a splitter + aux cable). Issues like: Shadowplay going nuts with BT devices BT not working well with apps outputting and inputting sounds at the same time Some games not being able to work well with BT devices.. Static noise when using with BT 2 seconds delay when audio was going out.. Also, those were crushing my ears. Got some Ozone Rage ST instead for the same price. So far so good, not as tight as the other one, and good old cable. Quite big, but sounds surely better. Also has microphone, detachable. Comparison old > new
The population of chavs is astonishing... but chicken parmos more than make up for that. I could live here forever, the food's cheap and well.. chicken parmo. Better than Reading where I was initially considering for a different degree. It's affordable here, and honestly it's generally quite a nice place to be.
Star Citizen, and it's accompanying singleplayer game Squadron 42 got a new trailer. The opening cinematic for squadron 42 is out! The Admiral is voiced by none other than Gary Oldman himself, and other great actors like Mark Hamil, Mark Strong, Gillian Anderson, and Andy Serkis. I'm honestly really hyped.
New forums, new avatar. It's a carnival! Okay, actually almost relevant post. My brother found this song: The bass part is so fun. By the way, I play electric bass. If I never mentioned it.
i really want to upgrade the stereo in the subaru outback i drive. but i cant because its my dads car.
