@Tom999 We did give notice around 2 weeks in advance, in multiple topics. Also keep in mind this is a new software entirely, hence the differences in terminology, as well as profile options. Regarding IRC, refer to the main post.
tdev informed that we were moving to a new forum software / platform. Although some may have missed it because it wasn't posted as a blog or anything.
tbh the old one was more practical, pictures look awful and you can't see the new things in each forum.
If anything i'd want it would be better readable names (darkgray) and better separation between posts. So much space for signature, when somebody has written something, a report button and the likes ... the original post fades out in all that text. Also reply button plz no full-quote.
We had to do the change, as i said before in exactly this way. We have to work with this system on a daily basis so we have to choose it very carefully. The visuals are not done yet so is the navigation.
Very nice! It's a very unique new design. I don't really know why so many people don't like it. It's very Windows 10y, btw.
i wanted to ask why you got rid of the double sided forum page, it was really nice and it meant that you never had to scroll down and also you saw all the things that were new if someone posted somewhere :/
I actually prefer the way it is now, as I find it more organized. But then, it's just my very own opinion.
I do like the cleaner look we have right now. Certainly pleased with it. It will take some time to get used to, but change isn't a bad thing.
