I once (about 2-5 months ago) had a dream where I went to this school in the middle of the desert that, for an orientation made you run and jump into a long rainbow tube. I dont really remember anything else about the dream except that in the end of the dream I nuked the school

You mean that you don't remember your dreams. We all dream.

While I'm not one to dream that often any more, I did recently have two that were very vivid that really messed with me, They were vivid enough that I wrote them down after I woke up.
I have no idea what to make of them, I know dreams are supposed to have deeper meanings, and that everything in them represents something, but I kind of don't want to know what these represent.
I've told this story to several people, none of whom seem to be able to make sense of it.

    Here goes,

I'm driving down an empty 4 lane highway that looks to be somewhere in the plains area, its all flatland as far as you can see. I'm driving a mid 70's 2wd Dodge truck, it has stake sides and is loaded with watermelons. It feels like I drive for a long time, the truck has loud exhaust, or no exhaust, there's only gibberish on the radio. After what seems like a rather long drive, I see tall buildings in the distance, I pull over and get out of the truck, I ask to myself "Nashville?" Then a womans voice says 'Yes, Kansas City too" Then a guy in some kind of late 40's business coupe pulls up and parks infront of my truck, he gets out and asks me where we are, I say "Ask Her" He then tells me that he was dreaming about being in a hospital bed, then he woke up driving down this road, then I woke up.

Like I said, I haven't had a proper "dream" since I was 5 or 6, so when I had one this vivid, I wrote down all the details I could remember when I woke up.

Then about a week later, I had another dream, and it ties into the last one.

I'm sitting on the hood of the same old Dodge truck, eating watermelon. I start driving down the same long, empty highway. this time I turn the radio on and there's an actual song, Bob Seger's "Turn the Page". After another long section of open driving, I come to an interchange, there's only one sign, and it just says "City". I keep driving down this road, towards this city in the distance. I look over and see a mile marker, I pull over and try to take a picture of it, because it said "mile marker XXX"
Turn the page is still playing on the radio, even though it feels like its been 3-4 hours. I make to the city, and its not a real city, its a facade, fake buildings, no roads, no people, like its all just for show, to lead people to it. I decide I really, really, really, don't want to be here, and get back on the road going back the way I came, I see the 40's Business coupe from the other dream, going the other way towards the city. After more driving I come up a toll booth with armed guards, and a barricaded tunnel behind it, before I can stop the truck, the guards are shouting "No passage whatsoever!" And pointing their rifles at me, I floor the truck and crash though their gates and the barricades in the tunnel, its dirty and un-maintained, full of cobwebs, and on the other side, there's cars, people, places I recognize, I somehow end up on the road going towards my little town, I pull up to my house, I see my truck there, my sisters car, everything as it should be, and I get out of the truck and say to myself "Wow, they're never going to believe this, I literally drove to hell and back." And I wake up.

First thing I did before I wrote all this down, was look out my window for that Dodge full of watermelons.

This one really fucked with me. I had heard "Turn the Page" earlier that day, but I don't really get the semblance of it. I have no idea what to make of the city whatsoever, or why Im in a Dodge truck full of watermelons. I don't know if it was supposed to represent hell, But I'm not a religious person, I do think there is a "Heaven", and a "Hell", but I don't don't know why I would interpret it as a empty highway.
Also, these dreams both went on for a long time, as in, they both really felt like they were several hours long. I remember reading somewhere that a 30 second dream in reality last something like 15-20 minutes, so that doesn't add up to me. Also, unlike most dreams I remember from my childhood, where you just seem to "teleport" places, I actually remember sitting in this truck, shifting the gears, rolling the window down, messing with the radio, covering ground towards this city. Now after I went though the tunnel I don't remember actually driving, the truck just kind of did it's own thing, I just rode along.

Are any of you guys psychiatrists? Any insight on this?

I had a dream were I was in Germany and there was a wall (lol) and it was enclosing a army base. It was ~28m tall. I saw a army truck driving in front of it. From the front, the truck looked like a Hummer H1 or a Humvee, but from the back it looked like a ГАЗ-66 (GAZ-66). I somehow got on top of the wall, on the top was a... Okay, imagine a tiled roof, but take away the tiles so all you have it the support for them, that's how it looked like.

I can remember sitting in a chair that I've been tied to. As was my family. A couple of masked men were standing in a corner.
They didn't notice me and talked about how it "had to be done".

As soon as they noticed me, the bearded guy told me that, if I won't do what they tell me to do, they'll kill my family and then me.
But not the cat. She's allright.

A tall guy with glasses handed me a piece of blue-white soap. He tried to say someting but the bearded guy slapped him in the face.
He told me to eat it and seemed pretty serious about it. There was some weird kind of tension in the room.

I wasn't too fond of it, but took a bite. The bearded guy asked what it tasted like, and the other two stared at me like it's the most important thing in the world. It surprisingly tasted like blueberry. The tall guy wrote something in his booklet and said "this never happened". They left after that.

To all who post in or read this thread, here's a couple of questions,

    1. Have you ever passed out or nearly passed out before?

    2. What color did you see?

I almost passed out from the heat a couple years back. It's more of a tunnel vision effect, rather than a specific color.

About a week ago I was dreaming that I'd got a new diesel Subaru, it was an Impreza or Legacy/Outback, can't really remember. All I know is that I was very happy to have one and it was very good to drive. Just the other day I was a chauffeur at a party and I got to borrow my aunt's 2010ish Subaru Outback Diesel. And I thought it was an awesome car to drive. This is not the first time I've had a déjà vu-like dream, they keep coming a couple times a year.

Speaking of déjà vu dreams... Is it normal to have a dream and then in the next few weeks to years have a déjà vu feeling and realize what just happened is literally exactly what happened in your dream? This has happened to me quite a few times. The event I dream about is never really anything important or significant though.

For example, a long time ago I had a dream that I was sitting in a golf cart on my driveway with a person my age beside me that I didn't know. A few years later, my dad bought a golf cart. (for utility cart purposes) I never realized this was the same golf cart in that dream yet. A few months later the "event" I dreamed about happened. (The person sitting next to me turned out to be my friend that I didn't have yet when I had the dream.)

When I have this dream, everything I see, hear, etc. is identical to what happens in real life. I think this is kind of creepy, and I don't really know if this is what normal déjà vu is supposed to be like or whatever. Any thoughts?

I totally get this. Deja vu for me is powerful, creepy and amazing. I spend hours trying to figure
out what the hell it means and how it can happen.

OT: I had a terrifying two part dream last night of being mangled in a tornado while in the
shower. I survived to hear rescuers saying "no one else here, let's move on!". Loved it.

Had a dream that I was partying with a political party leader. Then me and him threw something at someone. We assumed we were going to get chased, so we run up the back stairwell of the building. (wait for it) Next thing we hear is Ronald McDonald laughing and chasing us. Party leader falls, then I think to myself "I've had enough". I run down the stairs and try to push Ronald McDonald down the stairwell, but he won't budge. Dream ended there...

Probably McDonalds because well, who can resist that? (not a serious question, I know many people find it absolutely disgusting)

Last night I had an interesting dream.. I was editing someone's book for some reason, and also was helping an old friend with something. Then ended up going home with someone I found pretty attractive (I knew who they were supposed to be by the way things were happening in the dream), and met their cat. Even though they don't own one irl.

Also in the dream : I was playing a top-down Mario game, and there were arrays of tiles. When stepped on, the tiles around them would give off a sort of black/orange flash like in the original Legend of Zelda when you fired your sword. Once I ended up in a weird area of a level because of it. I was also confused (in the dream) because I never have seen them before, and it was my second playthrough of sorts

Rarely I can't pinpoint reasons of my dreams, but this one I'm stumped on.
