It's interesting how the graphics engine breaks far before the physics engine breaks a sweat. dem floating point errors
This is really interesting. I've wanted to try this for a while, but never got around to it. Kurjmac's next series should be a drive to the Farlands in BeamNG.
"Need... double... *coughs* precision... *dies*" What GPU? AMD? can you post the command? - - - Updated - - - I think the fuel would run out before he gets there .
He should do the math and set the car's fuel capacity to just over what's needed to get there when driving most econically and place a textured model of the Far Lands at that point on the Grid Map. Maybe have a jbeamed wolfie with the AI on set to follow him too .
Command is clientGroup.getObject(0).player.setTransform("2000050 0 1"); Make sure you have console activated and setted it to torquescript.
I did a few tests a long while back that suggested that instrument z-fighting and camera vibration started around 25-35 km away from the centerpoint. For practical purposes, this can be seen as the hard limit on level size. Functional fuel stations and repair shops would make that series a real survivor story.
