I think that you guys should get some Mac scripters and make a Mac version right away! I have a Mac, but not a PC and I would totally buy it if it would work on my operating system! Thanks
I don't think your average macbook would run the game that well, furthermore I doubt it'd be worth the thousands of man hours needed to port it over. Use the right tool for the job and build a midrange pc. (i5-3570k@4.4ghz handles the game very well and can be found for ?160)
I don't think a Mac version is high priority, but you can't say that it wouldn't work. My Asus x54c-bbk5 laptop has a Intel core i3 processor with Intel HD 3000 graphics, and 4gb of ram, and it plays the tech demo at 40FPS. So if his Mac has similar specs, all he needs to do is get a legit copy of Windows and install it using boot camp to play the game. I think rbccm mean't $160 US dollars.
I think it should be on there list of things to do In my opinion if you are developing a game it is important that you make it so it can run on multiple os's etc. have a windows section and a macintosh section in the office And I think it would almost double there profits if they port it over to macintosh so regular people that have macs can buy and play the game Without needing the Know how to Download say Wine or Bootcamp And from the Programmers that i have talked to, when i asked them why dont you code on mac? they say "because I just don't really like mac" or something along those Lines, And they all said it's actually easier to code on a mac so i really think it would be worth the man hours it would take to port it over to mac...
The majority of people use PCs and they devs already have a ton of things to do. I think they said that there wouldn't be a mac version. So, if you want to play the game, i suggest you use bootcamp or get a PC.
runs great on 2012 mac book pro 15" , only mac that won`t be powerfull enough will be any model with an igp any model with a deticated gpu will have enough horsies
I'm running on a bootcamp partition on a 2012 15' MBP retina and it runs great! Controls are a bit messed up due to the Mac keyboard being a bit different and using the trackpad, but nothing that's too hard to figure out.
Crossover / bootcamp , just fiddle with crossover and it will work (just install beamng drive and directx)
