I got an idea to make a group where starting modders can get assistance from more experienced modders. A lot of mods mods go unfinished because for example the creator can't JBeam, this team will assist the modders in need of help. Leave a reply if you want to join and where you are good in. I am okay at editing/making the actual nodes and beams, but I just can't do any of the other stuff (except for coltris), no matter how often I read through the tutorials. For example, I tried to get the 200BX wing on the Bolide, but I just couldn't do it because I just don't get how to make slots and flexbodies. I've read the tutorials atleast 10 times, but it just doesn't work.
I'm okay at J-beaming, though I've only edited pre-existing cars. I have no idea how to model in Blender though.
I managed to get a frame, and suspension and some crap steering, but the rear suspension kept collapsing. I lost patience.
One of these days I will attempt to put effort into learning Blender and jbeaming. No doubt when I apply myself I can do awesome things. Modeling and beaming is getting more appealing because I'm getting amped to make my own creations rather than borrow other peoples work. My patience level sucks though and I need to learn to deal with that.
I'll help out if I have the time. I would make more mods but I really don't have the time or patience. I'm sufficient in jbeam, good with materials, and good at stealing BeamNG's models because I can't model to save my life.
I like this idea. Soon I'll try tackling the challenge of modelling a vehicle. I'll probably start by modelling my cushman, sounds easier than a car. Then I have a car project for beamng I have wanted to do for a few years now... But first I want to complete my map, it shouldn't take way too long, besides the fact that nothing works... Actually there's something very simple I want to know about jbeam. Cameras... I've been wanting to make interior cameras for passenger/back seats of every official beamng car for a very long time, and I've never had luck so far.
