First of all, amazing job on the alpha, it's SUPER fun to play with. Watching the car twist and bend in slow motion is one of the neatest things I've seen on a computer. There really isn't much effort towards this sort of simulation in games, so it's really nice to see somebody working towards achieving it. 1) Is there any way to reset the entire level? R and Ctrl+I seem to reset the car only to certain points, sometimes in a spot where you are stuck and have to quit then reload the level. 2) Is there any way to spawn in vehicles that are already traveling at a certain velocity? It would be neat if you could fly around the map, choose a spot and a direction, then spawn in your car already traveling 80mph or something. It would definitely save time for sure.
You can open the editor (F11) and move the vehicle around, including while it's moving (just pause the physics first with J). You'll need to hit SHIFT + C to get to free camera, then click on the BeamNG Vehicle entity called thePlayer (little floating BeamNG logo in the car), and move it with the XYZ transform gizmo that shows up. Then close the editor with F11 and hit SHIFT + C to get back to the regular camera.
How do you just restart a level to it's initial state? Sometimes the spawn moves to a terrible spot and the only way to fix is to quit and restart the map.
Manually moving the car isn't resetting the map to it's initial state, it's faster to just quit and reload. I assume this can't be done yet.
