from a distance I thought you were running Ubuntu. But then I opened one. Why is humanity this way ;-;
I wish. Sadly for gaming Linux still isn't very viable since a lot of my games wont run on Linux. I could virtual machine windows inside of Linux i guess but i would much rather save myself the hassle and run things natively in the main OS. I would dual boot the computer if i had the space availible and could find an effective way to totally isolate both operating systems. As it is i only have a single 1tb hdd and i have 7gb left, mostly steam games. Also up until this point my school required us to run visual studio at home, im not there anymore but i imagine the same will be true at uni. I think i am going to try and upgrade the PC to windows 10 before i get to uni since it will probably make life much easier but i must admit that i really like Windows 7 and dont want to move the desktop to 10. I like how windows 7 isn't trying to sell all your personal details and find ways to shove adverts in my face. To be honest Windows 10 really makes me want to move to Linux, but it is much nicer than Win 8 so i guess i will have to put up with it. The best solution would be to build a second workstation type PC for me to work on and run Linux on that and keep the Windows rig for gaming. But im too cheap for that
Actually it's a Kriss Vector hanging in front of a Tavor TAR 21. I must admit, though, both are airsoft guns. I don't hang the real steel on the wall.
Atleast you consider Linux; better then how most people shake it off as weird. Sadly running Windows virtualised inside Linux wouldn't allow gaming, there are a few ways around that, but nothing realistic. There's always Wine, but I still can't get jack shit to work in it, especially games. >visual studio >uni >higher education using visual studio >Windows Windows Windows
my not so great setup with my not so great laptop that I play BeamNG on. I apologize for the crap photo quality I took it at night. and a desktop that I could use but we cant get it connected to the internet (no wifi receiver plus no antivirus) I do want a better laptop as my next one but no special gaming hardware (wouldn't be able to afford it)
Here's my desk, from afar so you can see the whole thing and closer to see some other details. And for the guy with all those tapes, you can borrow my VCR if you want.
Mine is pretty simple - behind my Lappy cooler is a JBL Charge 2 for sound. I had to sell my gaming rig for college moneys. I plan to build a new one next spring hopefully (2017). This ACER actually plays BeamNG and BF3 very nicely for a $500 laptop.
So this was my desk back home. View attachment 71844 This is my desk now in University. View attachment 71845
I was dealing with the same exact thing but mine was smaller! It was a fold out table meant for sewing it was tiny I couldn't fit my mouse pad on without it going under my keyboard. I got a new one about three times the size of it for only fifteen dollars.
