Hello all, Since the DX11 upgrade, surely most, if not all, of us have had some improvements or changes to performance. Also since some of it was moved more to the GPU. So, let's discuss it. Since I started the Thread, I shall start. My Specs can be found in my Signature.

    Settings:
    Mesh Quality: High
    Texture Quality: High
    Lighting Quality: High
    Shader Quality: High
    Anisotropic Filtering: x8
    AntiAliasing: x4
    SSAO: Enabled
    HDR: Enabled
    Light Rays: Enabled
    Depth of Field: Enabled
    Dynamic reflection: Enabled
    Texture size: 1
    Faces per update: 2
    Detail: 0.2
    Distance: 190m
Note: I did have my Reflection settings lowered because having it enabled and on high on East Coast would cause massive framerate drops. Will bump settings up as of today.

Specs are in the sig (duh), and my settings for my GTX 970 are as follows:

    1920x1080@60Hz fullscreen

    Vsync On

    Mesh: Normal
    Texture: High
    Lighting: High
    Shading: High
    AF: 16x
    AA: Off

    SSAO: On, low quality
    HDR: On, bloom enabled
    DOF: Off
    Light Rays: Off

    Dynamic Reflections: Off

    With DX9:

Held 60 most of the time, but on most maps like Port and ECUSA I had drops into the 40s, and with headlights on any map I would drop to 50.

With the limiter off I would guess high 50s to mid 60s

    With DX11 + other optimizations:

Holds 60, all the time. With these settings, the only way I can drop below 60 is to do a lot of drifting, and then the skidmarks start to hurt performance.

With the limiter off I can see around 75 to mid 80s ;)

That really shouldn't be the case... I have the same GPU and both me and OP have experienced gains. It's also well know that Maxwell doesn't like DX9. Are you sure you're using the same settings?

At best DX11 will have a more stable framerate, that's something that's been observed in lots of other games because it can handle more drawcalls better.

With my 750 I get about 80FPS on Gridmap with the D Series pickup.
Beofre that I used to be just under 60FPS, so there was a slight improvement.
I'm playing on the normal settings preset with dynamic reflections at middle-ish settings (except for the refresh thing, that's on 6)

    if i have a 60hz monitor i can only see up to 60fps so if i get a 140hz i can see 140fps?

    20 FPS performance downgrade here.

Used to run with the same settings and drivers @ 50-60 FPS on DX9, now it's 30-19 FPS (depends on the vehicle) on DX11.

Not using the Steam release for now, I'm stuck with the 4.0.5 DX9 wich runs great until the devs fix this.

    i72600k @ 4.0ghz
    AMD Radeon HD7850 2gb
    8gb RAM
Windows 7 x64 with all the latest updates

For now, it seems like this last update only favours Nvidia graphics cards. I Hope BeamNG doesn't take the same path as Project Cars, the only game I ever regret to buy.
