I think I know the problem. The location where your car spawns is surrounded by a bunch of map props. The collision meshes on these are really detailed; hence, they cause a lot of lag on some computers. If you can get out of the spawn area, however, the lag goes away, since there aren't really any detailed collision meshes. EDIT: Tried to get a pic of the collision meshes around those cylinders in the first picture, but it lagged out my game.
Yeah I can't use the map at all, maybe when my PC is upgraded then I will try again, or maybe if the spawn was moved, but thanks for at least attempting to help me.
Currently streaming a map build, come on in if you want to see how its done. http://www.twitch.tv/yotaak (over)
Yep, they're the issue. When I managed to move the car onto the track in the editor I was getting around 40 FPS which is what I get on grid map.
Streaming again, (building a map with music and commentary). Initial D fans might want to tune it http://www.twitch.tv/yotaak (Over)
I would, but I cant. I set the map to collision to be on "visible mesh", so everything that you can see, it generates the collision. A lot of people are having troubles loading the map because of the collisions, either get a better computer, or move the spawn point in the .mis file.
I had this problem too when I can't play it like nothing happens. My pc is sh*t, anyway it is because video settings. On default settings I can play it. It is laggy about 20FPS(for me) but works. On lowest settings I can't play it. Somehow make that we can play on low settings I want to play this map without lag. Btw. Cool map bro . Very detail.
Thanks! Thanks, updated the first post . Anyone who REALLY wants to play this map but cant because of the spawn point, just change it. Go into the .mis file and move the "position = "207.026 -60.0733 5.20007 -290.268";" to something else.
would you be willing to release a lightweight version of this map, with a different spawn location and maybe no vegation outside of the track to help out 80% of the people who have average spec'd computers? I used to be all about high end computer gaming but when you get older and spend money on other things and just use laptops, things change. It would be cool to try this out in a lighter version because the video was awesome, good work on that btw.
shitty map, 0 fps, isnt it kinda your job to edit it to playable levels not ours? And my comp doesnt suck, any other map runs fine
Not shitty. Move your car in the editor, and you only have to wait 15 seconds. It is just a collision triangle apocolypse.
Pretty fun track, tried drifting and failed quite a few times lol. That first turn though kept tire stealing haha
