    (Somewhat fixed)Problem Report,regarding certain GTX M cards.

EDIT: The problem is regarding the CPUs minimum and maximum loads,I fixed the problem with my GPU by re-installing drivers and restarting.

At a minimum CPU load of 0% and a max of 100% I get around 60fps for the first few seconds of gameplay, then it drops to a constant 10.
At a minimum CU load of 90 and a max of 90,I get a constant 25 fps.
At a minimum CU load of 90 and a max of 100,I get a constant 10 fps.

Obviously I have done something wrong, any help would be nice,I don't know if I need to create a new thread, sorry If I do.

    END of edit.

Okay, after going through threads and reading and replying I have concluded Nvidia's GTX M cards have troubles when simulating the physics in both,Rigs of Rods and DRIVE,limiting the fps to certain number, for me that is 17,regardless of graphic settings.
Sorry,I don't know how to "submit" a bug report,so this is it. I really hope this issue is resolved soon,as I really want to buy the game and enjoy it.

    Some info,that may be useful.

    Intel i7 2670QM CPU @ 2.2ghz
    6GB RAM
NVIDIA GTX 560M Running latest release drivers.

Running at 16:9 resolution, all lowest settings.

    Menu: 199fps
    Stationary Car: 17fps
    Driving/Crashing: 14fps

Running at 16:9 resolution, all normal settings.

    Menu: 120fps
    Stationary Car: 17fps
    Driving/Crashing: 10fps

    Resources while driving ingame.
    CPU Usage:21-30%
    Memory Usage,running FRAPS,Nvida control Panel: 20-38%

Note,I get idle temperatures while in game, but NVIDIA GPU Activity says the game is using the card.

    Thanks.

Yes,you posted that before,no that didn't solve the problem, the previous was a thread regarding the game not using the correct card, which was resolved. This is problem shared by multiple people and I wanted to summarise all the info I had and try to be helpful to get this fixed...
Edit:Agghh it even says in the post I have done that! xD

    - - - Updated - - -

As stated in the post, the latest release drivers, sorry, I may have not made that clear.

Are you sure it's the 320.49 WHQL update?

I think your processor is the main factor in the game being laggy, 2.2GHz doesn't seem much to run a game like this.

If it was my CPU wouldn't the load be more than 21% when playing?
On the requirements page it states that moderate requirements are Dual Core CPU and a GTX 560,I have a quad core,so it is not my CPU,this looks like a problem in the game, not my end.
Keep in mind my CPU is quad core.

EDIT: Found the problem, regarding CPU minimum load, still not fixed, but making headway...

i have a similar NVIDEA card, I found right clicking the icon and selecting it to run with your specific GPU worked for me.

Windows Home Premium 64x I think, but I have found my problem, something to do with processor power management and its minimum load. With a minimum of 0% and a max of 100% I get 60+ fps within the first few seconds of gameplay, but as things are loaded in,it drops to 10fps. With a min of 90 and a max of 90 I get a solid 25 fps...

Put you're power management to maximum performance: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/power-plans-frequently-asked-questions
And download Razer game booster(it will stop the programs that are causing system load while you play and will restore the after you stop)

Thanks for the Razer game booster, but I get higher fps using my power plan than with "High Performance" while playing drive,as high performance processor load is set to a min of 100% and a max of 100%,which causes a solid 10 fps.

    Sorry for duble post :)

    @WatzUpzPeepz Follow these steps:

    1) Download contig.exe and use it.(u should find tutorial on youtube, it's not that complicatet). It will probably take about 1 houre until it finishes.(its a program from microsoft)
    2) After contig finishes use game booster to defrag the game(the defrag option is in the tools window)
3)(optonal) Use tuneup utilitie 2013 to optimize the pc.

I've done all of those tings and now with these setings: rez 1280x720, mesh high, texture high, shader lowest, vsync off, filtering x16, aliasing off, lighting lowest and all the left panel dezactivated i get 40-60 fps :X. I hope it helps you, it helped me a lot.

@LJFHutch you should tell all of the persons that have problems with the geme to do these steps, and maybe use it on the next update so the game will have even better optimization :)

This problem seems to affect a lot of users on laptops that claim they have fine FPS for a while and then suffer a sudden drop. Perhaps put in a request for this to be added to the FAQ?
